    1. No, the VK resemples a Panther D that fought at Kursk in 43, G is from the end of the war, much more polished (no pun intended) vehicle. But as we know wargaming, yes, it will be an exact clone.

      1. Yeah, thats kinda true. The Ausf. D also fought at the end of the ware in the west. There is a rare example of the Ausf. D displayed in a citypark in Breda, the Netherlands, if I’m not mistaken.

    1. Some early models of G were still using the old mantlet that was still in stock. In 44 there was no time to scrap finished parts and redo them in upgraded fashion.

  1. Great, news, even though it’s more or less a clone. It means that they are working on Polish tanks. Do you know when they will come out, and if Poland will have its own tree?
By the way, I’ve shown the site’s proposals for a Romanian tree on the Romanian community and have asked if anyone can help. I will see what the people’s opinions are :)

    1. It actually wouldn’t surprise me if this one gets introduced in the German techtree, just like the first Hungarian and Swiss tanks, if you know what I’m saying…^^

      1. I found it stupid from WG doing that. Switzerland has gotten nothing to do with Germany, except for part of them speaking German, plus they have enough tanks for a full tree. Probably same for Hungary. If they would even add Poles to the German tree, it would be a total disaster.

        1. “Switzerland has gotten nothing to do with Germany” That`s not quite right, the Swiss bought german Tanks/Planes in and after WW2 also some German engineers worked for Swiss companies after WW2. Furthermore the Swiss helped the Germans to “money launder” the stolen Gold and other sorts of currency. and even wehre bombed by allies

But that they added the mutz to the German tree is dump

      1. Awesome! Thanks for the info, Amnesia! I know about the Polish lights and mediums from tier 1-5, but never heard of heavies. I’ve also not heard of TDs, except for the TK armed with a ~45mm cannon, which could also be a SPG.

        1. Poland has enough heavy tanks for a Tier X line within World of Tanks (Also there are Churchill tanks and other western tanks used by Poland for other Tier X lines; also two Polish Tier X tank destroyer and 2.5 medium tank lines are possible from historical vehicles).
Polish Heavy Tanks (For Soviet Line):
Tier V: KV-85M1 / KV-8M1 (Used for training Polish crews during World War II)
          Tier VI: KV-60 (C.I.A. Report) / KV-1 Model 1942 (110-130 mm armour)
          Tier VII: IS-2-88 (IS-2 with 8,8 cm Kw.K 43 L/71)
Tier VIII: IS-3M1 (Poland’s military operated IS-3 tanks, go check them out in their tank museums)
Tier IX: IS-3-152 (C.I.A. reports of IS-3 with 152 mm gun)
Tier X: Czołg Lewandowski (200 mm front hull armour IS-4 most likely) / Czołg Pancernik

          1. I understand your enthusiasm for having your nation in Wot, but most of your proposed vehicles are clones. WG philosophy is rather to look for original designs (even if just blueprints) to make game more diverse and each nation original. That is why CZ tree or JAP heavy line was possible – original tanks even not built, while other nations with similar trees (like your proposal) didnt make it to the game, because they are just clones. There are some exceptions to this rule – like Chinese TD line – China is SO BIG market, so they introduced practically soviet clones to make this line, but only on asia server (thx god). So if you really need to play IS-2, KV-85 or IS-3 with Polish flag you can spray it on current Soviet vehicles.
What I dont like about WG philosophy is that they dont want to make uncomplete tech trees or just premiums for some nations to satisfy fans, because I think this might be enough. Polish and other european nations could make lot of low tier original vehicles or even tree ending at tier 4-5. That would be nice for Polish tree with enough original vehicles, but WG needs to add stupid T10 to each tree (dunno why)

  2. I have a question: Can I somewhere find a top that shows how big every WOT community is? And if not, does anyone know which is the biggest community between the Romanian, the Hungarian, the Spanish, the Italian and the ex-Yugoslav one?

Just for the record since other blog called it captcured Ausf.G.
Ausf. G had an improved gun mantet shape to eleminate a shot trap while this polish pudding doesn’t have:

      1. VK3002M is actually the Panther Ausf. D, the very first version of Panthers.
I still don’t understand why WG doesn’t rename this tank, this way we would have 1 more mass producted tank than a prototype name, but whatever..

      1. So if the Poles get added next, who will be added after them? The size of the country’s community will influence this, right?
My question is: Which of the following countries has gotten the biggest community, if anyone knows:
-Romania, Hungary, Italy, Spain or ex-Yugoslavia?

          1. Damn, looks like we Romanians will have to wait for probably 4 more years…Btw, SovietTD, where are you from (I assume you’re Romanian since you seem to be mostly interested in Romanian tanks)

            1. I’m an American. The reason why I take such interest in Romanian tanks is because I think they’re interesting have little information on them. Hungary, Sweden, and now Switzerland has been done to death.

With my Romanian colleagues, I think i can truly find some real new stuff on it.

              1. Okay. I am glad there is someone who appreciates our tanks so much and offers such help.
But, unfortunately, as I said, we will probably need to wait for a Romanian tree, if it’s ever gonna be added. With Switzerland and Italy coming after Poland, we’ll have to wait some good 2-3 years. Hungary is likely also coming before us, and who knows, probably even another country (maybe Spain). The waiting time will probably be 4-5 years, and who knows if WoT will even still exist by then (you don’t know what could happen)

                1. Hungary and Romania are in a similar situation. They both have around the same amount of tanks and are missing key tanks in key tiers.

Luckily, Romania has the benefit of being poorly researched, especially during the Cold War period. Which means that there are possibly more tanks that are hidden. These projects are hinted a lot in various literature.

Hungary, afaik, will have to rely on projects by Straussler which one of my friend’s wrote in this article. https://thearmoredpatrol.com/2016/12/28/the-straussler-mbt-hungarian-tier-10-candidate/

                  1. You are very right here: Hungary has been researched more and Romania might have more unknown vehicles, but afaik, WG has shown more interest in Hungary than in Romania. Not only did they mention they are interested in Hungarian vehicles, but they have also added two of their tanks. While they did this to Hungary, I don’t know if they even mentioned Romania before. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

                    1. They haven’t mentioned Romania yet afaik, which is actually a good thing.

WG could have used the Maresal as a tier 5 German premium, but there are really only 3 photos, two of which are frontal pictures of the M-04 and one blurry picture of the M-05. So, WG doesn’t have enough photographic and no blueprint material to really make it a premium,

No one knew that a Switzerland was a possibility until my friend just waltz right in the archives and found a huge amount of unique tanks. Then WG started to take a large amount of interest.

I hope that happens to me as well once I find the right archival material.

                  3. And even if Romania would have enough tanks, don’t you think that for example, Spain would also be added before it, despite them having fewer tanks, because, as I said, it would be too late for Romania?

    1. The Panthers, have a bearing gun characteristic for the early G version (in the literature labeled A/G). WT is presented in the late version of Panther aus G.

  4. We have a proposal filled with “clones” but we know some more info about potential unique candidates.
Pankov on yt WOT Polska said, that they have a proposal of tree filled with unique tanks, but they still working on them.
It is possible because due to our research (team makeing PL tree) there were projects but no historians intrested in them. Thats why they are not known.

    1. I don’t get it…
Normal players want trees of Italy, Romania, Hungary, Swiss, Poland etc. I do. But I cant understand ppl who want one tree ( for example Italian) and “fuck” others… “Dont add that, add this” , why not add both?

  5. So there are not even enough original polish tanks to make even a single low tier premium that is not a clone? Very promising.

    1. I think that’s the reason why it’s actually a copy. They’ve already added copy tanks as premiums to Germany or USSR for example. I think the reason is because they don’t want to fill up the non-premium part of the tree with clones. Btw, I wouldn’t really consider tier 6 a lowtier
