Sandbox Second Iteration – Phase 4 Patchnotes

Summary
Sandbox re-opens today for the fourth and final round of testing: Phase 4. It will run March 16-20. We’ll introduce changes to Tier X light tanks made after the feedback from Phase 3 and continue fine-tuning new SPG mechanics across Tiers VIII–X.
Vehicle Rotation Rules
Imposed to ensure vehicle versatility and shorten wait time
To play a battle in any light tank you have to fight three battles with any other vehicle type(s)
Upon playing a battle in any medium/heavy tank, tank destroyer or SPG, you have to choose a vehicle of another Tier for the next battle
NOTE: These restrictions (as well as longer wait times) are only relevant for the Sandbox, and won’t make it onto live servers.
Vehicles
You receive all researchable Tier VIII–X light, medium and heavy tanks, TDs, and SPGs, including the new German heavy branch. Premium vehicles were excluded to avoid extra attention to them. Had we included them, players would want to pick Premiums over other vehicles, making it more difficult for us to fine-tune SPGs and new light tanks, which is our main objective here.
Each vehicle is credited to you in its default configuration, with enough Crew XP to train 3 skills/perks.
In-game Currency
When testing starts, you receive 30,000,000 Credits and 5,000,000 Free Experience points.
Every day you will be given 500,000 Credits for the 1st battle.
Every battle where you earn over 200 Experience points will get you 50,000 Credits and 40 Gold.
If you’d like to stock up on Premium shells, please keep in mind that they can be purchased using Gold only.

Detailed Change List (as compared to Phase 3)
SPGs:
Heavy Spall Liners now reduce stun duration by 10% (previously 5%)
Light and Medium Spall Liners now reduce stun duration by 10%
The stun effect on vehicle mobility has been reduced by 30%
SPG burst radius for all SPGs decreased by 10% (i.e., the area covered by stun went down by 19%)
Light tanks:

Lowered the T-100 and Spz. 57’s dynamic stats and mobility to lessen the difference between top-tier light tanks and make for a smoother ride

Increased reload time for the Spz. 57, T-100, and WZ-132A to keep them from being overpowered, and reduced the reload time of the AMX 13 105 to make it more efficient

The XM551 Sheridan received a considerable boost as it clearly underperformed
The Spz. 57, T-100, XM551 Sheridan, AMX 13 105 and WZ-132A view range was slightly reduced to keep them from being overpowered. Initially, they sported excellent view range paired with their solid base camouflage values and the class’ trademark camouflage bonus while moving, which proved too much.
Following your requests, we brought back the iconic 152mm Gun-Launcher XM81 and 76mm Gun T91E5 for the T49 and M41 Walker Bulldog, respectively.
Finally, we added new German heavy tanks—the Pz.Kpfw. VII, Mäuschen, and VK 100.01 (P). The combat parameters of the Maus, Grille 15, T110E5 and Type 5 Heavy were updated and are now the same as live servers (Update 9.17.1).

  1. Heavy Spall Liners now reduce stun duration by 10% (previously 5%)
Light and Medium Spall Liners now reduce stun duration by 10%

    REALLY??

  2. Seems like they did not nerf the T-100 LT pretty much at all.
It is still OP as hell. It should at least have much lower power/weight ratio than the Rhm. Panzer for balancing out its OP armor.
