9.15 – Supertest Tanks

I will do a short résumé for each tank, with the new statistics and of course, pictures.

Also, I will ask you to vote in this poll: should I take some screencaps of the changed armor? I feel bit lazy today and I do not want to waste the whole day for taking screen captures, so preferably I will just take photos of the frontal & side armor only. How do you want it?

Anyway, let’s begin:

T-45

Modernized version of the T-60. Differs from the original by increased armor and a turret which housed the 45mm gun mod. 1938 and a paired DT machinegun. However in June 1942 the machine was deemed obsolete compared to the T-70 and no serial production was started.

Project of an SPG on the basis of the Object 730 (T-10) developed in the first half of the 50’s. The project provided a gun in a rotating turret which allowed for a circular firing arc. The placement of most of the ammorack in a niche inside the turret allowed to improve the working conditions of the crew. All work was scrapped in project stage due to costly modifications to the base vehicle.
