Soviet Destroyers

Tier I Orlan class

  • Survivability 9
  • Artillery 27
  • Anti-Aircraft Defense 11
  • Maneuverability 50
  • Concealment 86

Orlan introduces the new Soviet tech tree. She was built based on a Project 37 destroyer that stayed on paper. Like all Tier I ships, she does not have any torpedoes and does not boast good armour or combat capability either. However, she is equipped with four trademark 130-mm (5.1-inch) guns that have an excellent rate of fire of 12 rounds per minute.

Tier II Storozhevoi class

  • Survivability 8
  • Artillery 11
  • Torpedoes 7
  • Anti-Aircraft Defense 1
  • Maneuverability 84
  • Concealment 96

A destroyer of the 1915 project. She has a speed of 35.2 knots, which is excellent for her Tier, as well as rapid firing, but modest, 102-mm (4-inch) artillery. This destroyer has three triple-torpedo launchers on board – however, they will be risky to use due to the short torpedo range. This is the main feature of the majority of Soviet destroyers.

Tier III Derzki class

  • Survivability 12
  • Artillery 11
  • Torpedoes 9
  • Anti-Aircraft Defense 1
  • Maneuverability 75
  • Concealment 95

A destroyer of the 1915 project (edit. note: Novik destroyer sub-class for Black Sea Fleet).

Tier IV Izyaslav class

  • Survivability 15
  • Artillery 13
  • Torpedoes 11
  • Anti-Aircraft Defense 7
  • Maneuverability 70
  • Concealment 92

A 1917 destroyer, one of the second series of Novik-class destroyers (edit. note: for the Baltic Fleet). Like her predecessor, Izyaslav cannot boast good artillery or speed. However, her three quick-firing triple-torpedo launchers with a range of 5 km (2.7 miles) are a force to be reckoned with, especially in low-tier battles.

Tier V Gnevny class

  • Survivability 21
  • Artillery 26
  • Torpedoes 12
  • Anti-Aircraft Defense 11
  • Maneuverability 91
  • Concealment 89

A Project 7 destroyer, a ship of the “new generation.” The first Soviet destroyer in the branch to have a powerful engine and impressive firepower. She has a top speed of 38.4 knots and is armed with four quick-firing 130-mm (5.1-inch) guns as well as two triple-torpedo launchers. However, the torpedo range is a mere 4 km (2.2 miles) and the destroyer itself can be detected by other ships at a range of 7 km (3.8 miles).

Tier VI Ognevoi class

  • Survivability 24
  • Artillery 28
  • Torpedoes 12
  • Anti-Aircraft Defense 14
  • Maneuverability 87
  • Concealment 86

The only Project 30 destroyer constructed and launched. She was initially named Opasny (Dangerous). Unlike her predecessor, she has four 130-mm (5.1-inch) guns installed in two turrets. Her artillery has standard performance characteristics for a Soviet destroyer: the range of fire is 12 km (6.5 miles) and the rate of fire is 12 rounds per minute. The torpedo range is still 4 km (2.2 miles), but they travel at an enormous speed of 70 knots.

Tier VII Kiev class

  • Survivability 26
  • Artillery 31
  • Torpedoes 18
  • Anti-Aircraft Defense 27
  • Maneuverability 94
  • Concealment 82

Leader Kiev, also known as Baku, takes the Soviet destroyers’ branch to a new level. The artillery becomes even stronger with six 130-mm (5.1-inch) guns. The triple torpedo launchers have been replaced by quintuple ones and, finally, she receives some decent AA armament. However, the main advantage of Kiev is her enormous speed of 42.9 knots. With such a powerful engine, the increased visibility will not be considered a shortcoming.

Tier VIII Tashkent class

  • Survivability 34
  • Artillery 29
  • Torpedoes 22
  • Anti-Aircraft Defense 24
  • Maneuverability 92
  • Concealment 80

A Project 20I leader destroyer nicknamed “Blue Cruiser.” Indeed, Tashkent could match a light cruiser with her combat capability and artillery power. Superb manoeuvrability and a top speed of 42.8 knots, in addition to excellent torpedoes with range of 8 km (4.3 miles), can make this destroyer a truly universal soldier in the game.

Tier IX Udaloi class

  • Survivability 32
  • Artillery 33
  • Torpedoes 32
  • Anti-Aircraft Defense 27
  • Maneuverability 96
  • Concealment 86

Udaloi inherited the best features of her predecessors. The trademark 130-mm (5.1 inch) guns become even more rapid-firing, while the time that the turrets require to rotate 180° is reduced by half to 9 seconds. She has three quintuple-torpedo launchers with an effective range of 8 km (4.3 miles), requiring little more than a minute to reload. The top speed of the destroyer is 40.4 knots, while her manoeuvrability is still outstanding.

Tier X Khabarovsk class

  • Survivability 38
  • Artillery 34
  • Torpedoes 23
  • Anti-Aircraft Defense 37
  • Maneuverability 91
  • Concealment 77

The leader Khabarovsk crowns the Soviet destroyers’ branch. She holds several records in her class: the most powerful artillery, boasting eight 130-mm (5.1-inch) guns, the largest amount of combat capability points at 22,500 and the highest top speed in the game at 43.4 knots. In addition, Khabarovsk is equipped with effective Anti-Aircraft armament and two quintuple torpedo launchers.
