WoT: 1.25 Release Notes
Operation Overlord
- A new event, Operation Overlord, will be available in the game from June 6 through July 3. It can be accessed via the Operation Overlord tab in the Stories game mode or the event banner in the Garage.
- There is no game economy in the Operation Overlord event. Players take control of the M4A3E8, which took part in the 1944 landings.

Update 1.25 commemorates the 80th anniversary of D-Day, offering an immersive PvE mode with AI enemies, along with many other activities to honor these pivotal events. We’re also introducing a new Achievement system to help you track your progress in World of Tanks and set clear in-game goals. Finally, prepare for intense battles in Frontline with familiar rules and dynamic battle scenarios.

Historical reference:
After World War II, a hard-hit Italy was unable to invest significant funds into tank construction. By the late 1950s, the country had several experimental concepts and a fleet of American M47 tanks, which by that time did not meet firepower, mobility, and armor requirements.
