Our developers have made a new version of the clan portal.
From 27 July, each game will have its own section on the clan portal. Before this, clans were part of both World of Tanks and World of Warplanes. A clan’s Military Personnel, clan name, tag and other details were united, and any change made to a clan in one game was applied to the clan in the other. After clans have been specialised, you will be able to join independent clans in World of Tanks and World of Warplanes at the same time, and everything that happens to a clan in one game will not influence clans in the other. World of Warplanes clans will be available on the World of Warplanes section, and players won’t need to spend gold if they have already created a World of Warplanes clan. After migrating to the World of Warplanes section, all clan attributes will be saved. Clans that were created in World of Warplanes will remain unchanged.
The major change is that players will be able to enlist in independent clans for World of Tanks and World of Warplanes. Player statistics will be available only for the specific game, and the information about battle performance in the other title won’t be there to distract the players’ attention. Players will be able to go to the World of Warplanes or World of Tanks sections by clicking a special button on the side menu.
The World of Warplanes section will contain personal and clan-battle statistics. Stronghold and Global Map statistics will remain only on the World of Tanks section. A clan Treasury will be available for viewing on the World of Warplanes section, though all clan gold earned before the update will remain in a World of Tanks clan Treasury.
A new option, automated approval of clan applications according to given parameters, will be available to players. To accept new clan members, simply activate the automated application approval option and set your selection criteria—for example, the number of battles and victory rate. After that, members who match those requirements can join a clan without the clan officers’ approval.
While considering submitted applications, you can view the personal statistics of candidates. Filtering by battle types and time periods can be used to view the battle activities and statistics of applicants.
The Applications and Invites page will contain information about players who have already submitted applications and those who match a clan’s requirements, so it will be easy to find a clan member. Players can also find a suitable clan through this section.
Creation of a new clan will take less time. If a player has enough in-game currency, it will be sufficient to enter only the clan name and tag – other data can be filled in later. Also, when you upload a clan emblem, make sure that one side is at least 195 pixels, and the whole image does not exceed 10 MB, All further changes needed to correctly display the emblem will be made automatically.
Mhh, I probably never heard such female voices earlier.
1. Are there any plans to introduce team-oriented game modes like Strongholds in WoT, or a global clan war map?
— We plan to redesign the clan system. Once that is done, it will be time to look at end-game content.
2. Will there be a branch of USSR heavy fighters?
— Assembling a whole branch of them would be a big problem. What you might look forward to is maybe a mini-branch comprised of several machines or a set of Premium aircraft. There are a couple of interesting warplanes that we would personally like to see, especially as researchable machines.
3. Why is the British Tier X heavy fighter so overpowered in comparison to other heavies?
— Speaking of the Javelin, the aircraft is balanced against its class counterparts. But it is a very large target. You should always keep in mind that the HP count always depends on the aircraft signature — how easy it is to sustain damage. The machine has great armament, but it is wing-mounted so shooting effectively is harder than in the case of the HG3 or XF-90. Aside from that the Javelin’s parameters are representative of its real features — it really is the most technologically advanced and “modern” aircraft in the game.
4. Why did you nerf the Me 1092 that much?
— It was very imbalanced. Now it’s as powerful as it should be.
Careful, it has an age limit. Slighthy NSFW but not too much (no nudity unfortunately). Just WoWP devs teasing us to play their crappy game :p
I feel like playing War Thunder right now. Gaijin is a really bad developer but at least they have an okay plane combat system…
– Over at Persha Studia, which is the Ukrainian representative of Wargaming, some personnel changes happened. Oleg Gotynyan, who occupied the post of general manager of the Kiev studio, left. No decision on who will lead the studio now is made yet.
The company confirmed the information about Gotynyans departure. Among the bigger projects under his lead was the development of World of Warplanes.
“To be a leader of IT and game industry means to continuously adapt to new conditions, trends and tendencies. As such, a flexible structure and continuous integration of innovations is needed. Innovations can be technical as well as management-wise. This is sometimes connected to unpopular decisions.
Oleg Gotynyan made the decision to leave the studio because of personal reasons because everyone needs some rest and a new start. We respect his decision.” – the company stated.
– In 2010 Wargaming began cooperating with the Kiev studio Persha Studia: the Ukrainians also worked on the French branch for WoT. Afterwards, a contract was signed on basis of which World of Warplanes was developed completely by Persha Studia under the lead of Oleg Gotynyan. It was released in November 2013. The company also worked on WoT:Generals.
