War Thunder – [Development] New decals in 1.51

Dear Players!

Frequent readers of our news articles already know that we regularly present new decals to be added to War Thunder. Most of the time, these decals fit into the historical context of the article at hand or are somehow related with the persons, units or armies involved.

With Update 1.51 we will introduce a great variety of new historical decals to War Thunder, which will allow you to decorate your vehicles with a piece of World War II or Korean War history. Good luck on the battlefield!

War Thunder – [Development] Hurricane Mk. IV and Mk. IIB

Hurricane Mk.IV – A modification of the Hurricane, this aircraft harbours two wing-mounted 40mm Vickers S guns. Though the armament may make firing with this aircraft a challenge when compared to conventional aircraft armaments, it is perfect for destroying larger, slower targets. War Thunder – [Development] SB2C-1c Helldiver and J2M5

SB2C-1c Helldiver

The SB2C-1C model is the first mass-produced version of the Helldiver for the United States Navy. It contains all the upgrades and improvements made to all the previous models and is equipped with cannon armaments. 778 were built. They were also built under license in Canada. The American SB2C-1Cs saw active service in all the main operations of the Pacific Ocean theater of war, starting from the spring of 1944. War Thunder – [Development] Leopard 1

This was the first independent post-war tank project in West Germany. After the war, the views of German designers changed and high mobility and firepower was at the forefront of their minds. The new tank was armed with the powerful 105mm L7A3 cannon. Its shells could penetrate armour with a thickness of up to 400 mm. The tank’s engine allowed it to reach speeds of up to 65 km/h (40mph) on the road.

War Thunder – [Development] T-34-100 and SuperHellcat

T-34-100

A thorough modernization of the T-34-85, whose weapon was no longer effective against German heavy tanks. This meant that the main goal was to install an 100mm cannon. The tank received the LB-1 cannon with a muzzle brake. This allows it to compensate for the recoil of the more powerful weapon. The ballistics of this weapon are completely identical to the 100mm D-10 cannon already familiar to players.
