WoWS: New ships – Closed Test 12.5

Spanish cruiser Numancia and Italian battleship Ruggiero di Lauria have been added to the game for testing.

Spanish cruiser Numancia, Tier VIII

One of the “Washington cruiser” designs proposed to the Spanish Navy by Vickers-Armstrongs was based on the hull of the Emerald-class ships, but with seven 203-mm guns in one triple- and two twin-gun turrets. In order to keep the power plant compact, a linear arrangement of the boiler rooms and engine rooms was adopted. The ship was supposed to be faster than the original, and the installation of an aircraft catapult was also implied. However, preference was given to the version of the project that became the basis for the Canarias class.

WoWS: Asymmetric Battle, a new Ranked battles season, technical improvements, and other news – Closed test 12.5

Let’s check out some of the main new features of the coming update.

Asymmetric Battle

The Asymmetric Battle battle type will return in Update 12.5. This time, a team of 6 players using Tier IX-X ships will fight against 12 Tier VII and VIII bots. Battles will take place in the “Standard Battle” and “Domination” modes.

WoWS: Supercontainer changes – Closed test 12.4

After our initial announcement, we are now ready to share more information about the planned changes to the contents of Supercontainers, as well as the general reasons for updating them.

New changes

  • The cost of bundles with Supercontainers in the Clan treasury will be reduced from 160,000 and 80,000 to 80,000 and 40,000 oil, respectively. It will also be possible to purchase the “Supercontainers for all” bundle twice as often – once every 90 days.
  • The amount of Supercontainers that can be obtained in the Daily Reward tab will be increased from 1 to 2.

WoWS: Changes to Test Ships and Van Speijk stats revealed – Closed test 12.3

Based on testing results, we’re applying changes to European destroyers, Jäger, Halford, Devastation, Novosibirsk, Nottingham, and Elli. We are also ready to share the initial characteristics of Van Speijk. Eye in the Sky commander skill is updated.

European destroyer Stord, Tier VI

  • Detectability range by air increased: 3 to 3.2 km.

European destroyer Split, Tier VIII

  • Detectability range by sea reduced: 9.5 to 8.9 km.
    • Detectability range after firing main battery guns in smoke reduced: 4.1 to 3.8 km.
    • Detectability range by air increased: 3.2 to 3.9 km.
  • Torpedo reload time reduced: 75 to 68 s.
  • Torpedo range increased: 8 to 8.5 km.

WoWS: Clan battles season 21 – Closed test 12.4

We’d like to share details about the 21st season of Clan Battles.

From May 29 till July 17, the 21st Clan Battles Season “Cachalot” will be held in a 6 vs 6 format on Tier VIII and Tier IX ships.

The following restrictions will apply from the start of the season:

General restrictions:

  • No aircraft carriers or submarines
  • No more than two Tier IX ships per team
  • No limits on number of battleships per team
    • After one week the limit will change to no more than one battleship per team
  • No more than three mercenaries per Division
