A new vehicle arrived on the supertest: it is a German tier 5 heavy tank named VK 65.01.
Description: The project was designed in 1939, when tanks between 30 and 65 tons were developed. The tank should be equipped with a 75mm gun and a Maybach HL 224 engine with 600hp. This was enough to bring the tank up to 20km/h. The armor was noted as 80mm. It was expected that the first tanks of this type would appear in the middle of 1942, but later on, designers decided that designs with a weight of more than 30 tons were not tactically useful because they could not use most bridges”.
