T95/Chieftain “The Vandal” [United Kingdom, Tier X Heavy Tank]

Historical Reference:

In the early 1950s, work began in the United States on the T95 medium tank project, which was intended to eventually replace the M48. A number of experimental chassis were developed and built, armed with 90 mm and 105 mm guns. However, some U.S. military officials considered the armament of the experimental T95 series insufficient.

Since there was no ready-made turret available for mounting a more powerful 120 mm gun, a variant was developed within the framework of allied technical cooperation to install the turret from the British FV4201 “Chieftain” tank. It was planned to send one experimental chassis to Britain, where local specialists would carry out the full scope of integration work. However, numerous development setbacks led to the closure of the entire project on July 7, 1960, and the chassis was never sent to the United Kingdom.

    1. nope, this one has a cupola that ruins the whole tank. you’re thinking of the T95/FV4201 Chieftain, not to be confused with the T95/Chieftain or the Chieftain/T95, or the T95E6, or the Chieftain, or the Chieftain Mk. 6, or the FV4201, or the FV4201 Chieftain Proto, or the FV4202

what the fuck are you doing WG

      1. This post is about “Mir Tankov” and not “Wargaming.” But incidentally, I’ve stopped questioning WG’s actions, releases, buffs, nerfs, etc. I simply don’t play it, or very rarely.

        1. WG made the tank many years ago. it’s not new. all the tanks i listed are in world of tanks.
