WoT: Update 2.1 Common Test 1 List of Changes

Advent Calendar

Resources for the Advent Calendar have been added for testing. It will be available in the first Common Test from November 7.

Interface Improvements

My Vehicles Screen

  • Added toggles above the vehicle list to display crew members with their trained perks on the left side of the screen.
  • Option to hide the vehicle characteristics panel on the right side of the screen.
  • Ability to enable or disable both panels simultaneously.

Battle Results Screen

  • All tabs on the post-battle statistics screen now feature a button for entering a new battle or confirming/canceling readiness when in a Platoon.
  • The selected mode and vehicle for the next battle are now displayed below the button.

Vehicle Menu

  • Added hotkeys for quick navigation to key screens such as About Vehicle, Crew, and Customization, as well as actions related to them.

Vehicle Filter

  • The filter button in the Garage and My Vehicles screen now shows the number of selected vehicles versus the total number on the account when using a user-created or imported Playlist.

Random Events

This update introduces new Random Events that expand tactical opportunities on three maps:

  • Mountain Pass: A German fighter jet crashes into the bridge support in D6, opening a new route from the gorge to the upper heights.
  • Highway: A Japanese airstrike derails a freight train across K9–0, adding new cover and blocking long-range firing lines.
  • Ghost Town: Two MiG-21s strike the E6–F7 area, reshaping the center with new routes and elevated platforms for heavy-vehicle combat.

Sound Physics Simulation

A new sound physics system based on map geometry has been added for Random Battles, changing how vehicles sound depending on their position relative to objects.

  • Transmission: Simulates how nearby gunfire is blocked by obstacles such as walls or mountains.
  • Diffraction: Simulates how engine and track sounds bend around corners and large objects.
  • Reflections: Simulates early sound reflections from nearby surfaces.

New sound presets have been added and automatically adjust to graphical settings for optimal quality and performance.

This feature helps players better locate enemies and allies by sound cues and is available on the following maps:

  • Lakeville
  • Himmelsdorf
  • Ruinberg
  • Berlin
  • Paris
  • Safe Haven
  • Fjords
  • Ensk
