🇩🇪 Hirschkäfer (TD-11, techtree, mechanic: ammo thermal control system)

Historical Reference
A German tank destroyer project from the late 1970s based on the Leopard 1 chassis with an autoloader. It was expected that the vehicle would effectively destroy enemy tanks at ranges where return fire would not pose a threat. However, it became clear that the new Leopard 2 tank, which was actively being developed at the time, could already fulfill this role. As a result, the construction of a prototype was abandoned.

Okay, okay, I see what you did there. Late 70s German tank destroyer concept axed because something BETTER was coming down the line? That resonates. It’s like when I was obsessed with this amazing indie game I was making… Then checks notes flappy bird came out! All the same, I think there should be a prototype in the game or at least blueprints. That’s a shame, though, this thing looks mean. The autoloader on a Leopard 1 chassis, though… chef’s kiss Gimme!
What an interesting look at the Hirschkäfer in World of Tanks! The historical context really enriches the gaming experience. It’s fascinating to see how developers incorporate real-life elements into gameplay. Speaking of immersive experiences, have you ever tried playing Run 3
