About Vehicle Screen

A new About Vehicle screen has been added, accessible from the Garage (via the vehicle menu), the Tech Tree, and a vehicle’s context menu (RMB). This screen presents all key information about a vehicle in one place, with details shown from multiple perspectives. It includes the following sections:

Characteristics

  • Displays all the vehicle’s technical parameters on one screen, including for any special mechanics (if applicable).

Overview

  • Provides a summary of the vehicle: its unique mechanic, historical background or description, core parameters, and a video (if available).
  • Includes an interactive 3D model that reflects the vehicle’s current state (if it is in your Garage).

Modules

  • Allows players to research, purchase, and mount new modules on a vehicle, with the 3D model updating in real time as changes are made.
  • Also includes Field Modification for vehicles of Tier VI and higher.

Upgrades

  • A new feature for top-tier vehicles that replaces Field Modification. It allows players to unlock their vehicles’ full potential by improving their base characteristics and the parameters of their unique mechanics using Combat or Free XP.
  • After all Upgrades for a specific vehicle are researched, the Elite Rewards system becomes available, offering exclusive customization elements for that vehicle:
    • Stat Tracker: Destroyed Vehicles — A 3D object mounted on the vehicle that displays the number of enemy vehicles destroyed.
    • Volumetric style — A 2D style enhanced with a unique depth effect.
    • Gun Sleeve — A distinctive 3D attachment for the gun.

Field Modification

  • Full-screen mode retains the same functionality as before and now offers integrated universal back navigation.

Armor Inspector

  • A new feature, Armor Inspector, allows players to view detailed vehicle armor information, including nominal thickness and effective armor at various angles. It can be accessed in the Armor tab on the About Vehicle screen.

Loadout Screens

  • The number of columns on the equipment and directives selection screens has been increased from three to five.
  • Icons for each category—Firepower, Survivability, Mobility, Concealment, and Spotting—have been added in the vehicle characteristics widget. The visuals and color scheme of the category progress bars have been updated, and numerical values for category totals have been removed.

My Vehicles Screen

  • The vehicle panel can now be expanded to a full My Vehicles screen by clicking a button next to the vehicle filter or by pressing the Space key. On the My Vehicles screen, just like in the Garage filter, players can switch between vehicle Playlists using a dropdown menu in the top-left corner, as well as create, edit, or import Playlists.

New Style

  • The forest setting of the previous Garage has been replaced with an industrial workshop that reflects the power and aesthetics of heavy industry.

Goals Widget

Daily Missions Widget
The daily missions widget has moved to the right side of the screen for better integration within the updated UI. It displays up to three missions at once and automatically loads new ones.

All Mission Types in One Place
Regular, Premium, bonus, weekly, and campaign missions are now shown together.

Automatic Mission Rotation
Completed missions are automatically replaced by the next one.

Reward Transparency
Each completed mission clearly shows the reward earned and the reason for earning it.

Completion Notification
When all available missions for a certain day are completed—including bonus and weekly missions—a special notification appears confirming their completion and remains until the next mission reset.

Event Cards Instead of Banners
Upcoming, active, and recently finished events are now shown as cards in the widget, with a countdown displayed for events close to ending

Battle Pass Card
The widget also features a Battle Pass card, which is pinned at the top and shows Stage and Chapter progress.

Regular Missions Screen
A dedicated new screen for daily, weekly, and campaign missions has been added to replace the old interface.

Personal Missions

  • A new Personal Missions campaign, Sector 3, has been added.
  • The Sector 3 campaign consists of three Operations, each of which feature a vehicle as the final reward.
  • Each Operation contains a total of 45 missions, which are divided into 3 series of 15 missions each. Each series is focused on a dedicated group of roles and vehicle types.
  • The Sector 3 campaign is completed separately from previous campaigns.
  • Completing every mission in all 3 series of an Operation results in completing the operation with honors, while finishing all 3 Operations leads to the completing the Sector 3 campaign with honors. Completing an operation or the campaign with honors grants additional rewards.
  • Each mission grants rewards for completion, including Campaign Points.
  • A required number of Campaign Points must be earned to fully assemble the Operation’s reward vehicle, complete the Operation, and receive the vehicle.
  • Campaign Points can be earned from Operation missions, daily missions, and weekly missions.

Weekly Missions

  • Weekly missions have been added added to Regular Missions.
  • At the beginning of each week, players receive 3 missions with diverse conditions for completion across multiple battles.
  • Some weekly missions may have additional requirements, such as completing them with vehicles of a certain nation, type, or role.
  • Rewards for completing weekly missions include in-game currency and Campaign Points.

Matchmaker

The matchmaker has been completely reworked, with several systems receiving new or expanded rules:

  • Role balance has been added to minimize role imbalances across teams and tiers (at Tiers VIII–XI) when there is a sufficient number of players in the queue.
    • Wheeled light tanks will be distributed evenly at Tiers VI and higher. This rule may be relaxed when there are fewer players in the queue.
  • Limits on different types of vehicles have been changed:
    • Light tanks: Maximum of 3 per team for battles at Tier V and higher.
    • Wheeled light tanks: Maximum 1 per team for battles at Tier V and higher.
    • Tank destroyers: Maximum 5 (6 in rare cases) for battles at Tier V and higher.
    • SPGs: Maximum of 3 per team (no change).
  • The chance of Tier IV-VII vehicles being placed in battles with vehicles 1 tier higher than them has been increased.
  • New flexible queue logic loosens restrictions more efficiently when there are fewer players in the queue.
  • Tier XI vehicles are subject to the same rules and restrictions as Tier X vehicles, and will be matched with Tier IX–X vehicles.
  • have been retired to free up matchmaker resources spent on working multiple queues.
  • The Maps Under Development button has been replaced by a Maps With Random Events button.

2.0 Commander’s Gift

For a limited time after Update 2.0, players can claim the largest free reward in World of Tanks history, including all Tier VI–X vehicles in a Tech Tree branch of their choice.

  • The selected branch will be fully researched, purchased, and added to the Garage with all modules.
  • New players who registered in the game after the launch of Update 2.0 can claim two Tech Tree branches and receive a bundle of Premium and rental Premium vehicles. All other players can claim one Tech Tree branch, but receive a much larger set of resources, including bonds, credits, and gold.
  • Players who already own every Tier VI–X vehicle will receive a unique medal, badge, and stripe. The badge and stripe will return to the game later, but the medal is only available during this event.
  • All gifts must be claimed in Update 2.0, before the release of the next update in mid-October.

Armor Flashlight

The new Armor Flashlight feature is an upgraded version of the standard armor penetration indicator, which displays penetration chances in a small area around the aiming reticle.
The Armor Flashlight is currently in an experimental phase and may impact client performance. It is disabled by default and can be enabled in the Reticle tab in the Game Settings.

Audio

The improved audio mix introduced in this update makes every battle more intense and immersive. It enhances second-to-second gameplay and makes interactions with vehicles and their core mechanics more impactful.
Vehicles now sound heavier, movement feedback is clearer, and key combat sounds have been brought to the forefront. Positional audio has also been improved for enemy vehicles, shots, and movement across the map for a more competitive and responsive experience.
Through a combination of historical realism and cinematic design, the iconic World of Tanks sound has been preserved, but enhanced with noticeable improvements.

Details

Authentic Engines
Real tank engines were recorded from operational vehicles in museums to bring a deeper, more realistic sound to every engine start, idle, and roar.

Distinct Tread Sounds
Different vehicle types now feature unique tread sounds that underscore their structure and movement across terrain.

Upgraded Collision Audio
A new layered collision system delivers more accurate and immersive sounds for vehicle-to-object, vehicle-to-vehicle, vehicle-to-environment, and vehicle-to-water impacts.

Enhanced Mixing Priorities
Key audio cues like player and enemy vehicles (engines, treads, movement), tracers, and shell impacts now stand out more clearly in the overall sound mix.

Revamped UI Sounds
A full set of new interface sounds has been added—covering UI elements, post-battle screens, interactions, progressions, vehicle details, and more—bringing clarity and responsiveness to every click and transition.

Binaural Ambisonic Audio
Garage ambiences now include ambisonic recordings captured in real-world tank repair environments for a more spatially immersive and atmospheric experience.

New Map

A new map, Nordskar, has been added for Random Battles.

Random Events

This update introduces unique Random Events on four maps:

Paris

  • A V-1 flying bomb destroys the bridge on the heavy tank route (K5–K6), creating new cover and opening alternative maneuvering paths.

Ensk Region

  • A train periodically crosses the map, temporarily creating cover and blocking or opening certain passages.

Fjords

  • The heavy tank engagement zone has been reworked with a massive bunker with naval guns mounted on the roof in J4–J5. A Royal Navy bombardment also destroys the entrance to one of the bunkers, opening a new route and increasing tactical variety.

Redshire

  • Following an air raid, a zeppelin crashes between the hills and the castle (E2–E3, F2–F3), creating new cover and significantly altering the combat dynamics in the area.
The existing zeppelin model has also been visually refined and made more detailed.

Premium Vehicles

The gold price of Tier VIII–IX Premium vehicles has been reduced, while the credit earnings of Tier IX Premium vehicles have been increased.

Rebalance 2.0

Rebalance 2.0 is the largest vehicle balance update in the history of World of Tanks. It affects hundreds of vehicles, improving both stock and top configurations, including at Tier X. Progression is simpler thanks to system-wide changes:

  • outdated and lower-impact modules have been removed,
  • suspension and radio modules have been streamlined,
  • every Tech Tree branch is now more playable from the very first vehicle,
  • light tanks have received survivability buffs to help them stay in the fight longer,
  • some older Premium vehicles have taken their first steps toward modernization,
  • particular attention was also paid to certain Tier X vehicles.

Together with the new matchmaker, Rebalance 2.0 delivers more intuitive progression through the Tech Tree and more balanced, dynamic battles.

How to read the tables:

  • Shell types marked with an asterisk (*) are Premium ammunition.
  • If a module’s name is unchanged between the “Old” and “New” columns, only its parameters have been updated.
  • The tables are organized by nation—expand a nation’s section and use Ctrl + F to search for a specific vehicle or module.

For more details and an easier way to browse these changes, check out the feature article, which includes highlights of the rebalance and an interactive widget to filter by nation, type, and tier.
