Historical Reference:
The main feature of the Vz.60S project was the use of spaced protection against shaped-charge munitions. The turret blocks consisted of differentially placed armor protection with filler elements (polyurethane) and steel plates. Meanwhile, the hull sides and lower glacis were to be reinforced with steel screens.
For various reasons, the vehicle never entered mass production. However, some of its design solutions became the foundation for subsequent modernization projects of serially produced Czechoslovak T-55 tanks.
