The E 65 Zwilling is a Tier VIII German heavy tank equipped with a dual 8.8 cm gun system. Its key difference from the Soviet Object 703 Version II lies in its very quick gun change time, fast salvo preparation, and increased aiming time while preparing a salvo.
However, the reload block after firing a salvo is quite long. The vehicle boasts good mobility for a heavy tank, with a top speed of 38 km/h, as well as the typical hull and turret protection of German heavy tanks.
Uncle of VT1?
Ooh, a unique double barrel heavy? Ill keep an eye on it.

Couldn’t they just make a double barrelled Tiger II for shits and giggles instead of the usual “fake hull, fake turret, fake everything” bs?
I would take doublebar tiger 2 in an instant lol. I accept designs that didnt exist but are based on believable construction, with E77 and this thing…I dont know…its bit off. Cant put my finger on why.
E50M? Fine engineers could theoretically place transmission to the rear even tho it was serbs wet dream. VZ55? Okay it has suspension taken from soviet tank school and turret is not far from soviet philosophy as well. I dont believe E series would be planned with cast turret like with E77 and seems like E65 have cast turret as well?
Would like to know if engineers are consulted in latest made up tanks, seems more like artists impression to me, and it shows. Also this is funny, how far we went from here: youtu.be/1gZVMVePlaA?t=26
It’s the IS-6-esque sloped corner plates. No one else uses them on heavy tanks, except maybe for the (fake) Japanese superheavies after O-I.
Also, the mantlet is chubby-looking and bolted, unlike Panther which extends across the whole width of the turret. It almost looks like the Valiant’s mantlet.
I think the problem is that its design language is off. I mean, they already are making up tanks; they could at least make it *look* the part.
The hull is fine, a good Panther-esque look with schurzen. But WG added corner plates, which is used only for a) PzIV, or b) pike armor like IS-6. Form follows function, so this corner plate also adds an O-Ho-like sidescraping weakspot which is not usually a problem with German heavies.
The mantlet also is weird since it combines Lowe’s rounded narrow mantlet, but on a wide Tiger II turret, benefitting from neither the smaller frontal profile of a Schmalturm, nor the wide mantlet of Pz.III or Panther. It shares the same turret frontal profile as…PzIV again.
So there we have it. It’s a tier 8 version of the PzIV as a heavy tank, surrounded by late-war designs. No wonder it looks off.
Wrong again… You must be looking at a totally different tank to come to that conclusion or you are blind or both!
Yup, the design language doesnt add up, those front side plates would add unnecessary complexity in manufacturing escpecially when we talk about E series which was supposed to be simplified to the bones as germany were short of materials. E10, E25, E50, E75, E100, effective but simple. E77, E65 just doesnt fit that philosophy.
I get the game is arcade and it was always loose on history, but it was always based on “realistic lore”. Just like Battlefield series is arcade shooter, but it immerses you into being a gritty soldier of a real world, because its strict on rules developers set to it. (Not the 2042 garbage tho, also V broke that, take BF 1 or BF3 absolute masterpieces when it comes to atmosphere)
Im always skeptical of clown skins and clown 3D atrachments and tanks that doesnt make sense. Puts me out of immersion a bit.
Not a dealbreaker for me, but I like my game the way I described. Maybe Im the only one.
fakiest fake tank ever
Ikr.
Not sure if germany ever dabbled with double-cannoned tanks, but the E65 itself as a concept is ludicrous and fake.
Yet another German pinata that won’t shoot straight lol
WoT are pumping “new” tanks out like piglets at the moment
270 turret front on a german tier 8.
this game is so fucking lost bro
the turret armor inflation is out of fucking control at this point
Players like you keep buying em so they won’t stop making em
