Historical Reference:

After World War II, France began work on a wide range of self-propelled artillery designs, incorporating German innovations. The study of German “weapon carriers” led to the creation of an entire family of self-propelled artillery systems. One such design was the Schneider 90/105 DCA “Oie” tank destroyer. The project proposed several weapon configurations with 90mm and 105mm guns. A notable distinction of the Schneider 90/105 DCA “Oie” from the German “Waffenträger” was its high mobility and dual-gun setup, with each gun equipped with an individual autoloader. The project, however, remained on paper as the French shifted their focus to howitzer self-propelled artillery instead of mobile tank destroyers.
