The A7E3, is a Tier III British light tank.
A prototype developed in the mid-1930s, the A7E3 did not reach the production line. However, some of its developments, such as the suspension, the engine, and the turret, were borrowed and used in highly successful models, including the Matilda and Churchill tanks.
The A7E3 is a rather mobile vehicle thanks to a good power-to-weight ratio (13.8 h.p. per ton). The 40 mm (2 pdr) Gun Mk.IX is quite powerful for its tier, providing50 HP of damage and 75 mm of penetration.
The disadvantages of the A7E3 include a large silhouette and thin armor.

Didn’t the A7-testbeds all use 3 pounder guns?
