Feel like some of these last tier 9 and 10 premiums WG made would fit better as “tier 11″s in the regular tech tree… like chieftain proto after Super conq, this after T110E5, WZ 114 after 111 5A, obviously buffed, but ti me it feels weird to have more modern tanks with bigger cannons downstatted as tier 9 premiums and have older stuff with smaller cannons at tier 10
Pretty much this, I know the chronology of tiers isnt the case anymore for a long time, but at this point its so obvious some machines should be stright out successors to existing tanks. Little annoying that we got them unnaturally downtiered.
everyone, except wargaming, knew the Chieftain Mk.6 was too quirky for Tier 10, too strong for a medium and limited gameplay for a heavy.
the Chinese 113 has one of the lowest penetrations at Tier 10 (249mm), even so that can pen the upper plate of a Chieftain which means that if the opponent is not a complete noob you simply cannot brawl.
pretty much all serious proposals from anyone who bothered researching and think of game balance avoided the Chieftain as a Tier 10, some would go with the FV4201 – pike-nose mockup that would make it more viable on the occasional brawling situation – or a Chieftain prototype that supposedly had its hull armor slightly increased – if I am not mistaken to about 100mm -.
it was simply laziness by WG, but it would make a good Tier 11 MT.
The issue of proper tiering also really throttles the Italian TDs. What one should really have at Tier VII is the Semovente da 90/53, and promote everything else up, with small buffs. This is keeping in mind that the 90/53 really doesn’t fit the flavor of every thing else in the line, so I can understand the choice that WG made.
The flat surfaces on the turret and the poorly sloped ones on the hull could be weakspots on flat ground, but given what they did with Tortoise I doubt it. Well, more crutches for those who don’t need them.
they call it MBT-B and the mantlet is quite similar to the MBT-70, we can assume it is at least WG’s idea of a alternative to the MBT-70 – might be real, the final design was not the only one, there were even casemate designs -.
the MBT-70 ended up using a rifled 152mm gun but you can be sure it was not the only rifled gun considered for it, those options would also apply to the alternative designs, and then there was also the parallel program the US conducted with the British without telling the Germans, it could be a copy of the gun from the Chieftain
It’s funny that I’ll have to fight this in my poor Tiger II. Even a baboon can see this is a joke but alas.. WG is deaf and blind (by greed). Introduce new tiers already!

WG laziness.
What’s more bizarre is that the Chieftain Mk.6 was supposed to be the T10 replacement for the FV215 (120) at one point.

This must be a fake tank. Looks like something straight from GI-Joe.
Nah bro I used one in the 1960s to crush Vietnam and Chinese losers
afaik you lost in Vietnam badly, “bro”
Depends what year of war
there aint no way this thing didnt have a smoothbore gun in its design spec

Not really, even the first Abrams didn’t have smoothbore gun and this design is not more advanced.
don’t know if anyone else noticed but the muzzle break seems to be obstructing both the coaxial MG and gun sight, first tank render of a new modeler?
I think it’s bugged, looks like a combination between the standard T-shape cylindrical and a square one.
