WoT Supertest: Map With Local Mechanics – Junction

“Junction” is a prototype random battle map that has also gone through 2 iterations on the Supertest (January and March 2026).

1st iteration:
• Moving trains (activated by players) — among the many train compositions placed directly on the map, three of them would start moving when a player’s vehicle approached. This could provide partial cover during strategic advances.

2nd iteration:
• Moving trains (during the second iteration, the mechanic appears to have been completely redesigned) — now, to activate the trains (which are no longer physically present on the map), players must capture/trigger an objective located in the very center of the map.

• Technical name: 153_junction
• Local mechanics: test_train_move_trigger (later: 140_spotting)
• Size: 1000×1000
• Map type: Summer
• Setting: Eastern Europe

  1. Finally! The game mechanic that nobody asked for and nobody wants is finally here!

    1. – There are no new maps
      > You complain
      – They make changes to an existing map
      > You complain
      – There’s a new map
      > You complain
      – There’s a new map mechanic
      > You complain
      – There’s a new map with a new mechanic
      > You complain

  2. What is with the weathered maps? Actually you dont need to do to many special things. For lot of the players is enought the different graphic. And yes, when is rain, snow or fog. There must be in the full map.

    1. Dynamic weather, if you mean that specifically, was poorly tested with questionable gameplay tbh… Wish they would make a new iteration and try it again

Changing weather as a simple visual would be neat. Some mods are doing it already. WG just slow as ever…

  3. Wow, it’d be a great one to bring in. Closest to the old Port map, plus with some unique close in features from their recon mode esp Klostertal, and reminiscent of other expired maps.
