🇨🇳 PGZ-70 (MT-9, premium, mechanic: Autocannon) With the release of Update 2.2.1, the PGZ-70 is being tested in Random Battles by supertesters and developers.
Historical Reference
A twin-barreled 57 mm tracked self-propelled anti-aircraft gun based on the Soviet ZSU-57-2, developed by Defense Factory No. 447 for the needs of China’s foreign trade sector. Unlike the ZSU-57-2, the vehicle used the chassis of the Type 59 tank, adapted for mounting the ZSU turret.
Trials of the prototypes showed that the vehicle possessed high destructive capability, strong firepower, as well as ease of operation and maintenance. Nevertheless, the project never entered mass production.

Thing is a menace. If you think being ripped by an Ares is frustrating, wait till one of these guys guts you. It borders the line of being comical. I think the key lies in the combi ation of duration and inevitibility. The result is not unlikely to being slapped by a brittish 183 or by a high tier arta back in the days of mayhem but the experience is quite different getting the same DMG in a hundred little slaps.
One shredded me a couple of weeks ago, total monster
I think that this one will have some stats downgrading before being released
With the ARES, Wargaming has simply opened another Pandora’s box. More will follow, and there will also be Tier 11 artillery. Wargaming won’t spare the player anything, except for new, or rather, good maps and a sensible two-tiered matchmaking system with balanced teams.
I already suspected that the ARES couldn’t be all there was to it. Surely WG could top that. And there’s the twin-barreled gun! Top-notch! But as that ADHD guy always says on the sales pitches, “That’s not all, because we’ll add something extra for you!” There were also those quadruple anti-aircraft guns. I think one model was called “Schielka,” it was from the Russians. This is going to be really good…
The ZSU-23-4 Shilka, yes. But unlike the ZSU-57-2 (which this think is based on), its 23mm guns didn’t have any armor-piercing capability to speak of. Its AP rounds would have about as much pen as the HE rounds on the PGZ-70, while its HE rounds would have a penetration of “no”. As such, I really doubt the Shilka will find a place in WOT.
What probably WILL come to WOT on the other hand, is the GE DIVAD proposal. Which is already in WOT Console as the M48 GAU-8 Avenger. Which should tell you all you need to know. It’s an M48 Patton hull with a GAU-8 Avenger 30mm Gatling gun.
