• The system gradually builds up a charge, which is partially consumed to increase damage when firing.
• The higher the charge, the greater the additional damage.
• By default, the system accumulates charge up to a certain limit.
• Disabling the limiter allows you to store more charge and deal higher additional damage, but this worsens gun stabilization.
Historical Reference:
In the early 1970s, the AMX center promoted a program to develop a new highly protected tank equipped with a powerful and rapid-firing gun. While the armor protection followed traditional concepts, the firepower was based on a new principle: a hybrid gun was proposed in which additional electrical energy increased the efficiency of the solid propellant. The propellant gases were heated by an electric arc generated between electrodes along the barrel, improving combustion and positively affecting the shot energy. Due to technological limitations, the project was eventually canceled.
