WoT: List of National 2D Styles

In recent patches, several new national 2D styles have been added to the game. Reading the community feedback, it’s clear that players really enjoy these mainly because they feature distinctive national flag attributes and unique cultural touches.

The very first such style was “Establishment of Czechoslovakia”, which appeared back in 2018 and was first sold in the EU region. Even today, this style remains a favorite among players — many still consider it the best choice for 🇨🇿 Czechoslovakian vehicles. After that, the next national-style release came a year later — a 🇺🇸 U.S.-themed one.

When the Czechoslovakian 2D style was first introduced, there was an active discussion among players about why such flag-themed designs weren’t made for all nations. Many pointed out that something like a 🇯🇵 Japanese flag would look incredible on large Japanese tanks. The idea of creating a pack of national styles for all 11 nations and selling them permanently for credits (similar to the “Made in…” or “N School” series) was also popular among the community.

However, the developers never followed through with that plan. Instead, they’ve been releasing such national styles only a few times a year, usually tied to a historical or cultural event of a specific country. In those cases, the pattern doesn’t always depict a full flag — sometimes it’s only partially shown, or not at all. (A recent example: “Wzory ludowe”). Such designs, while visually appealing, can’t really be called national styles in the full sense — even if their themes, patterns, or colors reference the country, they lack the most important element: a clearly visible flag.

As a result, the list of true national 2D styles in WoT remains fairly small. Only in recent years have developers started adding a few new ones again — sparking community discussions and renewed requests for more of these popular designs.

Current List of National 2D Styles (in order of release):
• 2D Style “Establishment of Czechoslovakia” — 🇨🇿 Czechoslovakia
• 2D Style “Bygone Glory” — 🇺🇸 USA
• 2D Style “Taegukgi” — 🇰🇷 South Korea
• 2D Style “Dominion” — 🇨🇦 Canada
• 2D Style “Order and Progress” — 🇧🇷 Brazil
• 2D Style “Stars and Stripes” — 🇺🇸 USA
• 2D Style “Cry of Dolores” — 🇲🇽 Mexico
• 2D Style “Independence of Poland” — 🇵🇱 Poland
• 2D Style “Union Jack” — 🇬🇧 United Kingdom
• 2D Style “Batkivshchyna” — 🇺🇦 Ukraine (partially implemented, not yet released)

National styles tied to specific vehicles:
• 2D Style “General America” for 🇺🇸 T26E4 SuperPershing — 🇺🇸 USA

To reiterate — there are several other 2D styles loosely connected to specific countries, but most are themed around historical events rather than being flag-based. That’s why many players are still hoping for more authentic national flag designs, especially for countries with large player communities.

After all, there are still plenty of nations in the game that don’t yet have their own national 2D style — and just imagine how striking flags like 🇪🇸 Spain, 🇵🇹 Portugal, 🇷🇴 Romania, 🇷🇸 Serbia, 🇰🇿 Kazakhstan, 🇻🇳 Vietnam, or 🇮🇳 India would look on their tanks!

  1. Hello. Is there a casino that allows you to set limits on playing time so you don’t stay up late?

    1. Yes, this is an important control feature. winshark-casino.com allows you to set time limits. Once you reach the set time, the system will automatically pause your game or log you out of your account. This helps you adhere to responsible gaming principles and prevents fatigue, allowing you to take a break.

      1. Hello, I’m OBVIOUS CASINO BRAND HERE. Asking a impromptu question about GAMBLING in a article for a tank game. How do i ask a question promoting my GAMBLING website without sounding like a cop buying from a dope dealer?

  2. Thanks – that article was actually a very interesting reminder.
Some flags maake for beautiful camos, others may be a little less…

I believe there are SO MANY unrealistic camos in the game already, national ones are not really a focus for WG anymore. Plus, iirc, we have national decals of large sizes, so I assume the JP flag ob a Type would be posssible (however I will never use it as I have 2D STyles on almost all my tanks, so no decals allowed :/ )

I believe the ukrainian corn field style is beautiful. WOuld the one that was given with the support ukraine pack not also count as national style? not sure. it reminded me of it.

Vietnam probably would look to similar to CN flag?as a skin at least.

As a german, I believe we dont really need our flag as a skin, the decal large already makes the tank basically “our” color i think. also we got our own “national” fake vehicle with the mauerbrecher 😀
