A modernization project of the Panzerkampfwagen VIII “Maus,” with special focus on optimizing the hull. The redistribution of armor thickness and slope angles improved protection without significantly increasing weight, while the redesigned turret eliminated the chance of ricochets into the roof of the hull. The engine and transmission were moved to the rear, and the turret was shifted closer to the center of mass, improving balance and interior space. The tank was planned to be equipped with a mine detection system and NBC protection (including radiation), but the project was canceled due to the unresolved issue of poor mobility.
