With the release of Update 2.0, the American 🇺🇸XM69 Hacker (MT-11, techtree, mechanic: Pneumatic gyrostabilizer) will be released and become available for research in the techtree after the M48A5 Patton.
Historical Reference
A modernization project for the M60 tank, based on combat experience and aimed at addressing identified issues. It featured a more heavily armored turret and a hull made of rolled armor plates, which required a new suspension. Firepower was provided by an improved 110 mm gun, and the stabilization system with optical sensors to account for barrel position was innovative. However, the cost of the modernization was 40% higher than a standard M60A1 and could approach the expense of producing a new vehicle. Despite all advantages, the project did not resolve certain layout issues and was eventually canceled.
