Additional Answers from Developer Sergey Snisarenko (Creative Director of WoT PC) at Gamescom 2025

• On how high-tier gameplay will be positioned after the introduction of Tier 11:
– Tier 8 will remain the entry point to competitive gameplay, while also continuing to serve as credit earners.
– Tier 9 will now generate more credits than before.
– Tier 10 will remain the main competitive meta.
– Tier 11 currently only serves to extend vehicle progression in a balanced way. However, over time, all competitive activities may shift to this tier but not yet.

• The main priority right now is to fully introduce Tier 11 across all techtrees.

• A new nation is possible, but not in the near future.
(at this point, there were dissatisfied shouts from the audience)

• Gold prices, and therefore real-money costs, will be reduced for Tier 8 and Tier 9 premium vehicles in Update 2.0.

  1. “• Gold prices, and therefore real-money costs, will be reduced for Tier 8 and Tier 9 premium vehicles in Update 2.0.”
    interesting

  2. If all tech trees will be tier 11, does that include artillery? It would be funny if they specifically ignored them.

  3. He was very excited.. Also i hope people on gamescom going to enjoy cheap crap yankee stuff

  4. One thing that wasnt really tackled on anywhere is, if there will be like circa 50 tier XI in upcoming years, how will they manage to give each special ability? IMO there is limit to when will these specialties become more and more ridiculous the more patches will come.

  5. Interesting insights from Sergey! The Tier 11 rollout sounds promising, especially if it’s balanced well. Also glad to hear about the planned gold price reduction for premium vehicles — long overdue!
