This photo shows a Tiger I with an unusual and highly intriguing camouflage. What makes it even more mysterious is that this is the only known image of this camo to have ever existed online.
Origin of the Screenshot
• The image comes from a 2015 Easter egg post on the Polish World of Tanks news site rykoszet.info.
• It was presented as an original screenshot:
The Mystery of the Camo
• Aside from the brief mention in the original post, absolutely nothing is known about this camouflage:
– Its purpose
– How it was obtained
– Why was it removed
• Due to how old the image is, it’s nearly impossible to find any information online, understandable, considering the total lack of media coverage beyond this single screenshot.
Discovery in Version 0.4.5 Client

• Upon examining the version 0.4.5 client, the textures for this style were surprisingly still present.
• Technically, by today’s standards, this isn’t a “camo” or “style” in the current sense. It’s better described as a vehicle-bound 2D/3D style, since it replaces parts of the tank’s original texture maps.
Visual Details
As noted by user nocec (posted on 28/04/2025, 18:05):“Unfortunately, this still didn’t reveal any more info about its origin, but it did allow for a much better look at the style itself.
We can see:
• Colorful lights strung around the tank
• Golden bolts on the track wheels
• A distinct tiger skin pattern on the hull”
Closing Thoughts
• At this point, it’s unlikely any concrete facts will ever surface.
• In just three months, it will mark 15 full years since the style was first added (and quickly removed) from the game in version 0.4.5 (August 2010).
• Also worth noting: the camouflage feature wasn’t implemented until version 0.7.0, over a year later, supporting the theory that this was never a traditional camo to begin with.

Maybe a Christmas style that wasn’t implemented? I sense it from the colored lights
I sense you again… Get a life☝🏻
