• The APHE (Armor-Piercing High-Explosive) shell existed in early versions of World of Tanks.
• Its icons and a complete set of text references can be found in very old clients.
What We Know (and Don’t Know)
• Unfortunately, not much else is known about it:
– No confirmed mechanics
– No confirmed vehicles it was intended for
– No official documentation on its implementation
The Blue Stripe Connection
• The blue stripe on the APHE shell may look familiar to players who have used Czechoslovakian autocannons, but:
– It’s unknown whether this is a reused asset
– There is no confirmed connection
• Interestingly, very old gameplay media shows shells with a blue stripe appearing in place of normal HE shells, but:
– Based on screenshots alone, it’s impossible to confirm whether this was truly APHE or just a placeholder graphic

buff for cs52c
bz176 shell…
I mean, a lot of AP shells in-game are technically APHE in real life.
Pzgr.39 for example…
wouldnt it be the same as a HESH round, such as fv’s?
Or you could argue for Semi-AP shells.
I can imagine this mechanism as APHE causing more damage, while APRC/HEAT causes less damage and much more penetration.
