WoT Onslaught 2024/2025 Wrap-Up: Stinger Tank Rewards, Final Stats, and What’s Next for Year of the Manticore

Players have started receiving rewards for the Year of the Manticore event in World of Tanks 2024/2025 — and this time, there was no need to wait two weeks.

Rewards are now being distributed based on the number of earned Banners. These include the 🇺🇸Stinger tank, multiple 3D styles, a unique crew, customization elements, medals, and badges.
Any unused Banners are automatically converted into 500 bonds each.

  • 0 premium Tier X tanks

Final Results: Year of the Manticore (Onslaught Mode) — WoT 2024/2025

The last battles of the Jade Manticore season concluded on the night of May 25–26. Here are some important takeaways from the end of the third season:

  • Reward distribution may happen after the release of update 1.29, expected on June 4 — just like last year.

  • A total of 6,457 players reached the Champion and Legend ranks, earning exclusive badges.

  • Many more players will receive the Stinger (🇺🇸USA, HT-10, promotional, with a 4-shell autoreloader) along with a unique crew and 4 distinct 3D styles (source), depending on the number of banners they earned throughout the year.
    ⚠️ If a wave of bans occurs, the list of recipients may shrink.

  • Unused Banners will be converted into 500 bonds each.

  • Don’t forget to spend your bonds in the Bond Shop — notable items include:

    • Experimental Optics

    • Stealth Exhaust Unit

    • Improved Compressor

    • Improved Final Drive
      (the last two are available only to players who reached the Golden rank)

Summary of the Jade Manticore Season

This season was largely similar to previous ones in 2024/2025, with only minor balance tweaks.
A considerable number of players will receive exclusive rewards for the Year of the Manticore, as the tank acquisition system was simplified.

It’s highly unlikely that the 🇺🇸Stinger or its 3D styles will become available again in the future. However, the tank itself will be less rare than last year’s 🇵🇱Hurricane.

What’s Next for Onslaught?

A continuation of the mode is expected later this year, likely starting in early September, similar to the Year of the Pegasus.
New bond equipment may be introduced — though there are ongoing issues, which will be discussed in a separate post.

Despite everything, Onslaught remains a high-skill competitive mode. The top rankings continue to be dominated by stat-focused players and those who climb using superplatoons, which remain highly effective.

See you in Onslaught 2025/2026, fellow skilled warrior.

  1. It was still lucrative to grind the rewards for me at iron tier, I was able to listen to music and play whatever i wanted to play. Relaxing.

    1. The rewards from the weekly missions are very nice, indeed – bonds, a lot of credits, premium time, big universal manual and a piece of bond equipment.

  2. So there will be a new bond equipment next season? But what can it be? We already have bond variants of all equipments, that have a bounty variant. And the only ones left are:
    1) CVS (God forbid they make bond CVS);
    2) Grousers (too unpopular to be lucrative);
    3) Spall liner (also, very unpopular);
    4) Radio Set, that’s used on LTs in Onslaught (very unpopular in randoms, will make Onslaught even harder for players, who opt out of using it);
    5) Camo net and Binoculars (useless in 99.9% of higher tiers, the other 0.1% will result in something extremely broken – e.g. E25 or ELC EVEN with camo net; useful in lower tiers, but come on, making a bond equipment for lower tiers is horrible as a concept).

    So, either WG have come up with a completely new equipment piece, or they will do CVS (which will make spotting basically impossible, unless you have bond CVS), or they will do the Radio (which will have massive implications in Onslaught), or they will do sth useless and no one will buy it (which tbh is the least likely, considering it’s WG).

    No, I’m not looking forward to this new equipment piece.

    1. ELC with camo net is actually useless though. the tank with good crew and premium consumables already reaches th emax point of camo…so they can only be spotted withtin 50m

        1. I actually did not. I just personally think its not really useful to do so 😀 f course,harder to blindshoot if you ARE the bush 😀 but that job is also done by regular camo net.

          And ELC can just stand in the open, no bushes needed, most of the time anyways

      1. Grousers are actually quite underrated. For tanks with powerfull engines but terrible terrain resistances it can change whole lot in their gameplay. Its not only IS7 that profits from them, and with bond one it would be absolute W monster.

  3. “It’s highly unlikely that the 🇺🇸Stinger or its 3D styles will become available again in the future. However, the tank itself will be less rare than last year’s 🇵🇱Hurricane.”

    No – i believe its extremely likely. there is no such thing as “valuable” or rare tanks anymore. There have not been since the first black market.
    They will become available again, in a few ywars. maybe like in Batttle pass shop with some collectable marks, or in B.M., or vie some event, or even just as a eregular reward.

    Of course, we will see. but I am rather sure.

    In any case even if it wont return, its a tech tree copy , so it should be fine :9

    I personally only tried ranking in onslaught this year in the last part. it was fun to rank, the moe is great for the damage dailly missions (or kills) but I would have no intention to grind up from bronze. Lets see what the next year will bring, i willstart directly from the first episode then 😀

  4. i hope the next yearly reward will be an fv4005 so tier 10 can get fucked over harder. call the tank cockgobbler or crayonmuncher or some shit

    1. Wanna know why old Ranked sucked hard? Because it forced everyone to play selfishly, so that you can secure that one chevron in a defeat. Now, with the points system in Onslaught, if you are a solid player, on a loss you will lose -5 but on a vicotry you will gain +40 and more. So net +35.

    2. Only bots like old chevron system, because in it they had an actual chance to screw the match in very specific approach called redline wanking. That gamemode came nowhere near skilled based gameplay.

      And no, player with 3k dpg and 50% wr isnt a skilled player. They always let the team do the heavy lifting for them so they dont have to use single braincell. Now they struggle at silver.

      In onslaugh they mostly end up in endgame situation against steamrolling enemy where they are clueless and just stright up dont stand a chance. (And I m always glad to see them lose).
