WoT: 1.29 Common Test

The Update 1.29 Common Test has begun! You can try out the new Arcade Cabinet Equalize! mode, prepare for the return of Steel Hunter in 1.29, preview Battle Pass Season XVII, and more.

Arcade Cabinet: Equalize!

The Equalize! mode is based around an interesting rule twist: Vehicles of any tier can be mixed and matched in a battle. The parameters of non-top-tier tanks are boosted (the lower the tier, the bigger the boost). With their HP pools and firepower increased, lower-tier vehicles (with their mobility, compact size, and stealth) can contribute a lot to their side’s victory.

Steel Hunter

As usual, the battle royale mode is about collecting Progression Points and earning Steel Seals to spend on various rewards including a progressive 2D style. As in the previous launch, you can play in Random Platoons with optional voice chat.

Battle Pass Season XVII

The new Battle Pass Season brings fresh hi-tech 3D styles to earn (for the M48A5 Patton, the FV230 Canopener, and the WZ-111 model 5A) and another trio of hard-boiled Commanders to recruit. You can benefit from the features introduced in Season XVI (the Vault, Battle Pass Circuit, and Vouchers). During Season XVII, those who saved up their Tokens can claim a new reward vehicle from this year: the IXObject 265T or the IXERAC 105 Proto .

Quick Start Guide

  1. Requirements: Ensure you have the Wargaming.net Game Center (WGC), the latest Common Test client, and an active World of Tanks account. Your live account progress was cloned to the Common Test server on April 29, 2025 at 00:00 (CEST) and won’t include changes made after this date.
  2. Install the Test Client:
    • Run the installer and select a different folder from your main game files.
    • Choose the test client in the WGC dropdown menu.
  3. Dive In: Test new features with increased resources. Your feedback is invaluable!
