In April, a new gameplay trailer for World of Tanks (PC) was released. Overall, the video is simple and highlights the core aspects of the game.
However, at the 39-second mark, while boasting about more than 800 vehicles in the game, they accidentally revealed tanks that are either unavailable to players in the client or have never even appeared on the Supertest.
1. First Screenshot:
• Two new tanks are noticeable.
• The German tank in the foreground is not precisely identified, but many players think it resembles the Rheinmetall Begleitwagen.
• The Soviet tank stands out due to its monstrous size but remains unidentified. It could be one of the Soviet super-heavies from a canceled branch, but it seems more like a freshly developed model rather than something pulled from the archives.
2. Background Highlight:
• A four-tracked
BZT-70 is visible in the background.
• This tank has appeared in the console version of WoT.
• Considering it an “11th tier” is naive — it is likely being developed as a Tier X heavy tank and may be released soon.
3. Third Screenshot:
• As all the models shown are in HD quality, the tank in the third screenshot is also new.
• The
Lorraine G1 L had its icon leaked to the Supertest back in 2012.
• However, the model shown here is new and recently developed.
4. Fourth Screenshot:
• Shown here is the
KV-122S, which first appeared in the Supertest during version 1.0.
• Its characteristics are identical to the regular KV-122, but it has an interesting inscription on the side of the turret: “Norilsk Metallurg.”
• Most likely, its release was canceled back then.
5. Interesting Tank Destroyer:
• The SG-122 tank destroyer is also shown.
• An icon for this tank was previously discovered on a Wargaming artist’s website, but it was old, from the SD graphics era.
• The model shown here is new, suggesting it might be released in the future.
6. Final Tank:
• The
Tiger 217 is present in the game files but never officially released.
• It was developed alongside the
Tiger 131.
• Its association with the famous tank commander Otto Carius might have prevented its release, as indicated by its historical description in-game.
Other Observations:
• Tanks like the T-44-85 / Light T-44 and the Chrysler MTC 2TC were also spotted — these were released exclusively for the Chinese region.
• Other interesting models were shown too, though they already exist in the game files.
Note:
The massive tank display scene was created using internal tools to fit so many tanks in one location. It seems the person arranging them wasn’t deeply familiar with which vehicles had officially been released and just placed whatever models were available (heh).
This shouldn’t be considered an official announcement of these tanks. However, it is likely that some of them are indeed in development and may be introduced in the near future.
This was awesome, thanks
-The Soviet super heavy in the first image reminds me of the KV-3’s upper turret
-The SG-122, Lorraine G1 L and Rheinmetall Begleitwagen could easily be released as a box filler
The Tiger 217 and KV-122S could easily be a story mode reward
-Knowing that the MBT-B will be launched as a tier 10, it would not be surprising if they do the same with the BZT-70.
Who needs all this shit new tanks?? The games has much more tanks than needed. WG should finally work on other things and not new tanks every week which nobody needs!
The game needs more tech tree lines, because the ratio between premiums and tech tree tanks added each year is getting worse and worse.
800 tanks, 500 premiums
Its hilariius that this game still calls itself free2play if nearly all content is inaccessible. To top it off, the free content is lackluster or requires a high amount of gold ammo to have any reasonable amount of success…
Pay close attention to MM in t8-9 and you’ll hardly see regular tanks… this isnt right for the longevity of the game, nor the enjoyment of the players… and its no lie that this game only survived this long thanks to some shaky-hand boomers “collecting” pixels like some 7 year old with their disposable income and not giving a fuck about gaming, strategy and all the like…
Just some happy boomers, booming around making happy noises… ffs
Sounds like a you problem. Most players already have all tier 8 tech tree tanks. So why play them. Especially when they are shitty.
Why your two most played tanks are tier 8 OP premiums
Sadly I would not go too much into to it. As we have seen before every time someone notices this in one of their trailers. Half the tanks never appear because they just take everything on their dev-server to line up
Who cares, game died like 5 years ago. Lol
Oh, shit. Here we go again.
The game is dead, not a single soul cares.
This is true. I play only frontline and servers only show 15000 players lastnight
