The Chieftain AEV is a Tier 10 Reward British medium tank equipped with a powerful 165mm gun that delivers a mighty 1000 HP of damage. This experimental vehicle has 278 mm of armour penetration with APCR shells, and 330 mm with HEAT shells.
Powered by the 620 h.p. Leyland L60 engine, the Chieftain AEV offers good mobility for a heavily-armoured medium (top speed: 50 km/h, reverse speed 25 km/h), and shares similarities with the T95/FV4201 Chieftain and Centurion AX. It features a familiar strong turret and impressive gun depression/elevation.
Historical Reference:
A development of a new engineering tank developed by the British in 1964 during research to replace the Centurion AVRE with a new Chieftain based one. Several designs were considered using rocketlaunchers, to recoilless gun types, but the 165mm gun was the most favoured. In total, 25 mock-ups were made, unfortunately while on a training exercise at Bovington Tank Museum, all were accidentally scrapped.

Once again, WG is making fun of their own incompetence, lack of creativity and will to grow their IPs.
Like with the wheeled German TDs a few years ago (which do exist in Warthunder).
A possible future is the introduction of the German Sturmtiger line; this might be the test of a new HE mechanic to go with those machines (assuming it actually winds up on the supertest).
Let WG put the entire Sturmtiger line that is in WoT Console and I’ll be satisfied

It would be like WG to make an April Fool’s “funny” to disguise a real test. Then again, sometimes a joke is just a joke.
We hope we don’t end up on the European servers. These kinds of tanks that damage you for 1k health completely ruin the game experience and make you angry and stop playing WOT, and that’s not good for anyone…
WG should focus on designing and adding maps, gun and engine sounds, ambient sounds, and other things…
Or sell map expansions like Warcraft does…
There are many ways to make money in WOT without hurting the gameplay…
