E 65 Zwilling (Â Germany, Tier VIII Heavy Tank, Premium, double-barreled gun mechanic)
Historical Reference:
Toward the end of World War II, the German tank industry came up with the concept known as the E-Series. One of the program’s vehicles was the E-65. The tank used Horstmann-type suspension from the Steyr company, and the drive wheels were at the rear of the hull.
The main difference from other vehicles in the series was the idea of mounting two guns on a single turret. The tank was assumed to be able to fire either salvo or cyclic rounds at an increased rate. However, the E-65 never went further than the general concept stage.
Looks interesting but I can’t really say that I like the “double-barreled” explosion in WoT. I still haven’t seen a double-barreled tank in real life…
It may well be that the E-series was developed in the Third Reich at the end of the war, but not a single one had a double barrel! The twin-tube number only came in the âcold warâ and definitely not from Germany. I still say… Bullshit!
Looks closer to a Lorraine or M4 51 kinda tank, nothing like a Tiger or E series tank with the turret at the front, since the E series was meant to standardize things between them and make them share more components.
Yeah, same here â never seen an actual double-barreled tank from WWII. Maybe some wild prototypes on paper, but nothing that made it to production. Feels like WG just likes to spice things up for gameplay.
