WoT: Statistics of the WT E 100 “Phönix” Auction

Massive Demand for the Phönix WT E 100 Drained the Playerbase Gold Across all WoT Regions:

On the European servers, the recently released Phönix tank achieved remarkable sales figures, with 3,000 units sold within just 4 minutes. This translates to a staggering 300,000,000 gold spent by players in record time.

North American players showcased similar enthusiasm, with 800 Phönixes sold out in an astonishing 15 seconds. This amounted to a total expenditure of 80,000,000 gold.

The trend continued on the ASIA servers, where 800 available Phönixes were snapped up rapidly, contributing to the total across all servers. Combined, these sales resulted in a jaw-dropping 460,000,000 gold drained from the global playerbase in mere minutes.

To put this into perspective, even when calculated at 50% of the actual Premium Store Gold Price, players spent over $800,000 USD worth of gold during this event. This highlights not only the popularity of the Phönix tank but also the willingness of the World of Tanks community to invest significant resources for exclusive content.

These unprecedented sales figures showcase the power of limited-time offers and the excitement they generate among players worldwide.

  1. Absolute insanity to pay 100K gold for a tank, 100K gold €329 if you bought two lots of 50K gold, just goes to show that the sheep will just buy anything no matter what.

    1. a lot of people that bought it had gold from lootboxes over the years(including me). so the gold was basically laying around. its what happens with every black market

      1. Yep. I only buy gold during christmas boxes cause you GET SOOO MUCH for your dollar. I always make sure I have enough for the entire year no matter what, right now I am 725k after the PHONIX event. i will not have to buy a single gold throught this year and i can partake in every event across the board, even the assembly shops. Anyone who wants to take part in all purchasing events throught the year for a cheap as possible should do this.

Who wrote this, a WG employee?

    1. Its true, what do you want for it to say?

“Wargaming is such a skummy shit this games gonna die in a year”
“”The playerbase should spend money on what i want them to, not awesome tanks in the game that I play!”

      Or something else?

  3. Everyone is crying about the WT E 100, get over yourselves, the last thing we need is every player to have a insanely easy to obtain monster that can yolo and kill 1 or 2 tanks. Have anyone crying about this seeen the console matchmaking, you want that??? Delusional. If you want to play a tank that you can perform in just grind out the missions for the 279 (e) its obtainable.

  4. with my argentina account buying gold via loot boxes (~700 gold per box for me this year), the waffle costed me about $50. not too bad.

  5. Just 3000! that means only 3000 accounts people got scammed for 100k Gold – barely anyone at all on the EU server got one then , terrible marketing plan from WG just 2% of the EU player base that’s it how is that good for WG! with 98% left with pots and pots of loot box gold ~ lol WG a bit thick aren’t you as you could have sold 30.000+ easily

    1. No one mentions but the real thing will only come – now everybody knows that waffle will return on and on… So??? A lot people will buy even more christmas boxes and stuck more gold then usually… This is the thing… The future is bright for WG. I also buyed it on EU server, i had nearly 300k gold from christmas so what? And former owners of the waffle that want it for free… 😀 you own nothing as I am owning nothin in this game, WG can do what it wants and when you disagree, you can uninstall…
