Astron-FL [USA, Tier-10, flamethrower mechanics, multi-track]
Historical Reference
Since the mid-1950s, as part of the ASTRON program, an alternative to the M67 flamethrower tank was being developed, aiming for high protection and a four-track running gear configuration. The projected weight of the vehicle was 50 tons, and it was planned to be equipped with an electric transmission. However, the development of the vehicle, designated Astron-FL, was never completed. The main reason was the lack of future prospects for the ASTRON program itself by the late 1950s.
