Fog, rain, forest fires, and sandstorms are coming to Recon Mission! Play on six classic maps with all-new Local Weather events that look sharp, modify gameplay rules, and give you more tactical options. Remember that fog, smoke, and sandstorms obstruct vision, while rain makes terrain harder to traverse. And don’t stand in fire!
The upcoming launch of Recon Mission will feature a new mechanic—Local Weather, which brings a fresh gameplay experience and new tactical opportunities to the battlefield.
Local Weather introduces zones on the map with special weather effects (forest fires, heavy rain, sandstorms, or fog) that continue throughout the battle. Not only do these zones add to the map’s atmosphere, they also affect gameplay. While all enemy vehicles spotted by you or your allies remain visible on the minimap, vehicles inside a local weather zone cannot spot vehicles outside the zone and vice versa, allowing you to shelter from enemy attacks. The fire effect, meanwhile, causes damage to vehicles.
As this is an early test of a new mechanic, the game may run unstably in Recon Mission mode, and you may experience some bugs. The visual effects are currently in test phase and will be significantly improved in future.
Just can’t remember how long it has been since we’ve been asking we for weather effects smh.. it’s literally been done before like in the WT mode and is already there in wows. Really wish they’ll just work out night maps quickly as well
True. I am sad about randow events, lot of player disabled it, so almost never happens. If wg find his balls, they put the random event and the weather in the game. And they can say that we have 10 more maps. 1 with random event or weather, and 1 normal…
I hope there will also be an option to disable the weather effects. I don’t need any unexpected events during my battles…

I will disable this crap. As professional player I need less distractions.
I already play with most effects off and low resolution to avoid uncessary fluff to assist in winning.
