WoT 1.25.1 Common Test: XM57 In-Game Screenshots & Historical Reference

XM57 (USA, Tier-8, TD, premium)
Historical Reference: By the mid-1950s, the idea of mounting a gun in a turret with a limited firing arc emerged. Following this principle, the XM57 combat vehicle was developed.

Its distinctive feature was that the crew was placed not in the turret but in the compartment behind it, allowing for a reduction in the turret’s size. Aiming was intended to be carried out using a camera in the turret, but a periscopic rotating sight on the roof of the compartment was also provided. For engaging aerial targets, a remotely controlled anti-aircraft machine gun was planned to be mounted on the commander’s cupola. The project did not advance beyond the sketch stage.
