Currently, Mir Tankov seems to be a much more promising game. Rebalancing is more frequent there, the events reward Free2Play players, the e-Sport scene is being funded, and seemingly there is a much bigger variety of tanks seen in Random Battles.

In eu u can buy boxes just for real money, in ru every day 10 boxes for credits (100k/piece) and u can buy boxes for gold. (From the boxes u earn some gold to)
There are two types of lootboxes: small (Марсианская порода) and big (Редкая руда). Small boxes don’t give gold or vehicles, big boxes do. For credit and gold player can buy small boxes. Looks like small boxes have 15% chance to give big box.
So its the same shit as in warships.
