WoT: 1.24 Common Test Reminder

Please note that all features on the Common Test are currently in active development. Any values, rewards, technical characteristics, and other feature settings that are relevant for the Common Test are not final and may not correspond to those in the release version.

Update 1.24 is on its way, marking the first update of 2024 and bringing you the opportunity to explore the Maneuvers clan event with several improvements. You can also dive into the spring Season of Battle Pass. Let’s roll!

New Battle Pass Season

The first Season of Battle Pass in 2024 will enter the live server soon! While its core mechanics remain unchanged, we’re introducing a modification to the tier of vehicles eligible to earn Battle Pass Points in Random Battles. Instead of the current Tier VI–X vehicles, you will now be able to do so with Tier IV–X vehicles.

We’ve also updated the list of items available for purchase using Battle Pass Points in the in-game Store upon completion of the three main Chapters. These items will now feature various 2D customizations from previous Seasons, enhancing the cool factor of your vehicles.

This isn’t the only news about the upcoming Season, so stay tuned for more updates!

Improvements to the Maneuvers Event

Maneuvers will be accessible throughout the Common Test, but different event features will be introduced across its various iterations. The general battle mechanics will be available from the first test, while the Fame Points shop and bond auction will be introduced in subsequent launches of the Update 1.24 Common Test.

If you are not currently a member of a clan, you can join one on the Common Test and experience all the upcoming changes.

The Maneuvers event is set to kick off shortly after the release of Update 1.24. Its progression system and core rules will be the same as in the previous launch, but with the following improvements.

  1. Bond Auction: If you participated in the event but didn’t secure a spot on the Leaderboard due to insufficient personal Fame Points, you can still jump into the bond auction and place your bids. The top auction bidders will receive formidable Tier X reward vehicles—the list of these steel predators is already finalized!
  2. Interface Improvements: We’ve listened to your feedback, and now you can bring destroyed vehicles back to action directly from the battle room interface where your team is already assembled. No need to navigate to the event interface to repair and unlock your vehicles before jumping into a new battle.
  3. Encounter Battles Instead of Standard Battles: They will still be fought in the 7v7 format using any Tier X vehicles.
  4. More Personal Fame Points for the First Victory of the Day in a New Vehicle: This bonus applies when you meet battle conditions, but doesn’t apply in subsequent battles with the same vehicle. Change vehicles to speed up your progress and earn additional Fame Points from each Tier X vehicle in your Garage!

Event Mechanics Recap

In Maneuvers, victories are especially rewarding. First off, the winning side gets almost all the spoils. Second, each victory of every team in your clan contributes to your clan’s Progression. After a certain number of wins, you move on to the next Stage, where each battle brings more personal and clan Fame Points.

Losses and draws do not subtract from your Stage progress.

Players on the losing team will only receive personal Fame Points for battles in which their side destroyed at least two enemy vehicles.

We’ll provide more details about the upcoming Maneuvers event and the finalized reward pool in a dedicated article coming out later.

To help you prepare for Maneuvers, starting from February 9, the format of Skirmishes in Strongholds will be replaced by an event format (7v7 Encounter mode, with the base capture time for one vehicle set to 100 seconds).

Every World of Tanks player can participate in the Common Test of an upcoming update!

You need the Wargaming.net Game Center (WGC), the latest Common Test game client, and an active World of Tanks account.

Common Test accounts have significantly increased resources for trying out changes and features without restrictions.

Your account progress on the Common Test server is aligned with the live server and cloned ahead of the start of the test. On January 29, 2024, at 21:59 UTC, your live server account was copied to the Common Test server and does not reflect any account changes after the cutoff date.

Download and Install the Test Client:

TEST CLIENT INSTALLER

  • Run the test client installer.
  • Choose a different installation folder from where your regular World of Tanks game files are.
  • Select the freshly installed test client from the drop-down menu at the top of the WGC.
  • Roll out—and remember to pass on your feedback!

You can find more details about the WGC in the dedicated Wargaming.net Game Center guide.
