The Type 68 a Tier IX Japanese heavy tank is coming to the super test.
Type 68 is a Japanese Tier IX heavy tank. Like the top-tier vehicle of its branch, this new Japanese brawler features new double-aiming mechanics, known as gun cooling. Depending on the combat situation, this feature allows you to choose the advantage of excellent damage per minute (2400 HP) at the cost of slightly compromised accuracy. Alternatively, you can choose to shoot less frequently but more accurately, dealing 400 HP of damage per shot.
Its standard shell penetrates 250 mm of armor, while its special shell penetrates 311 mm. The gun dispersion is 0.42 m before cooling, and 0.28 m after. The reload time is 10 s, and aiming time is 2.2 s.
The Type 68’s armor requires active use of terrain irregularities, as its hull with mediocre armor 80/70/30) is unable to effectively withstand enemy fire. However, its tough turret (300/80/40) effectively fulfills this role.
Similar to its Tier X counterpart, the Type 68 comes equipped with hydropneumatic suspension, which enhances its gun depression/elevation angles (–8/20 degrees) from good to excellent (–12/24 degrees). This feature will greatly assist you in fully utilizing the benefits of a well-armored turret when taking a hull-down position.

DPM with best dispersion drops down to like 1.7k, though.
Same DPM as on the Lorr. 50t.
Looks like this line is going to see the return of funky crew line-ups. This one looks like: Commander (Radioman), Gunner, Driver, Loader. The Tier 10 and the Tier 8 premium are Commander (loader), Gunner, Driver, Radioman.
I suspect the crew composition is wrong here, or it’s wrong for Type 63 and Type 71.
Nobody knows what WG will do after they’ve proved themselves as one of the most “competent” company with A LOT of unbelievable moves.
So there’s no surprise if they decide to piss on everyone’s face with this kind of crew composition =))))
Anyway, this tier 9 Japanese HT once again looks really fine just like the tier 10 one.
Even though the entire hull has no use 90% of time, the tank does have a good HP pool to spend when you want to go all-in.
The turret with this kind of shape might get pen on the cheeks by 340 HEAT, but which tier 9 doesn’t? AE Phase I, Concept 1B, Conqueror, even Emil II if not using any of its gun depression.
This thing looks a bit weaker tier-to-tier compared to the tier 10 one but still, a solid tank.
Agreed. They better fucking change the crew layout tho, makes no sense for it to be different than the t8 prem and t10.
