Frontline 2022: Back for 9 Days!

Frontline 2022: Second Launch

August 20, 2022, at 06:00 CEST through August 29, 2022, at 03:00 CEST (UTC+2)

Single-Tier Battles

Last time, a lot of players enjoyed playing Frontline exclusively in Tier VIII vehicles. In this second launch, it is kept in the good old formula of single-tiered battles, so get your favorite Tier VIIIs ready! If you do not have one of your own, try a rental Tier VIII vehicle. You can even get your hands on the Tiger II FL and M41 Bulldog FL, now available for rent.

More Rewards, Including Unique Ones

After the first launch of Frontline 2022, we realized that we should up the rewards for the epic 30v30 battles on extra-large maps. We’ve reworked the Frontline rewards, tied them to the mode progression, increased their number, and even added some unique ones.

  • The progression itself now consists of 20 Stages (instead of 15). Upon reaching every Stage, you will earn valuable goodies.
  • You can earn bonds (up to 975 in total) for completing certain progression Stages.
  • When receiving directives as a reward, you will be able to choose your favorite type from an expanded list that now includes Pre-Battle Maintenance, Optical Calibration, and Aim Tuning.
  • A Training Manual (the Crew Book providing 250K Crew XP) has been added to the reward pool.
  • Retraining Orders are a new in-game item that can only be obtained as a Frontline mode reward. Use yours to change the skills and/or perks of a crew without a penalty.

Here’s the complete list of rewards for reaching progression Stages.

Quick Combat Reserves

For the second launch of Frontline 2022, we have decided to make Combat Reserves easier to use. We are curious to try this out and see how it affects the gameplay!

  • Once the battle starts, the time before you can use a Combat Reserve has been halved.
  • Combat Reserves can be used immediately after you respawn (the minimum time before the respawn is 5 seconds).
  • Combat Reserves can be used immediately after you unlock them for reaching a new rank.

We are excited for your feedback on quick Combat Reserves!

Revised Rental Vehicle Roster

As usual, rental vehicles will be available for the duration of Frontline (which is now 9 days) and they can only be used in this mode. These vehicles are all “clones” of their respective researchable Tier VIII counterparts and come with the best modules installed. Crews from vehicles of the same nation and type can be transferred on and off them for free and without penalty.

At the beginning of the mode launch, you will be able to obtain Frontline rental vehicles for 250,000 credits each in the Frontline section of the in-game Store. This price will go down as the event progresses.

But Wait, There’s More…

A score of minor changes have been implemented to Frontline, including brand-new voice messages about various events on the battlefield, an upgrade to the Frontline widget to display your progress and the rewards you still have to collect, and some interface improvements for your convenience.

  1. Finally!
They should make this a separate game. Add new maps and tweaks job done. Can fuck off wot and 20 year old “random battles” what a joke. One game mode in 10 years lol

    1. Yeah man, I can’t agree more. The Randoms are just so stale and boring. I started playing 2011, and can’t bring myself to play Randoms anymore, while I still enjoy Frontlines. I would have uninstalled the game if not for FL. WG doesn’t know a good thing if it hits them in the balls. They should have developed FL mode as a full mode as an additional mode in game, instead of a few weeks a year.

  2. Yeah. Give us Frontline 24/7/365 just start 3 maps it would be so much more fun the going on randoms. But i guess WG is afraid then there would not be enough players in Radom que.
