The first Common Test of Update 1.16 has started, Commanders!
Join it to be among the first to try out the third (and final!) Season of Ranked Battles 2021–2022. You can also test various balance improvements on the Siegfried Line, Ghost Town, and Erlenberg maps, as well as the addition of the Assault mode to several Random Battles locales. Let’s take a closer look.
Map Balance Improvements
We improved three Random Battle maps to address several minor issues we’ve noticed with them. Check it out.
Siegfried Line
- A position with a bunker for the lower team has been added, allowing you to control the field and the passage in the town as you would from the position of the upper team.
- We’ve also improved the entrance to the town for the lower team, as well as for the attackers in Assault Battles.
- Driving through the ruins is now smoother and more comfortable.
- The position for defense in the town for the lower team has been improved.
- We’ve removed several trees that allowed opponents to fire at the lower team without being spotted.
- We’ve also changed the location of the spawn points in Assault Battles so that the attacking team can better control most of the map.
Erlenberg
Encounter Battles will be unavailable for this map. We also made the following minor adjustments for Standard and Assault Battles on this map to balance the gameplay possibilities for both teams:
- Part of the building below has been removed to increase communication between the sides.
- The house model below has been replaced to minimize long-range firing at those crossing the river.
- Balance changes have been made to make your gameplay more comfortable in several positions below:
Ghost Town
In Assault Battles, the location of the base to be captured has been changed.
Plus, the ground surface was leveled under the unfinished building below. This change is also relevant for Assault Battles.
The following maps now support Assault Battles:
- Redshire
- Steppes

We hope that these balance changes make your battles even more exciting.
During this Common Test, the third (and final!) Season of Ranked Battles 2021–2022 will be available in a test format. It will feature a short progression system, after completing which you’ll be able to try out the improved Reward screen for selecting pieces of improved equipment as part of the Annual Reward. Jump in to be among the first to test it and provide feedback so you can help us make Ranked Battles even more enjoyable!

Ghost Town – Plus, the ground surface was leveled under the unfinished building below.
that little dip that was under the building is gone? man that’s a shame, it wasn’t used much but it was a really neat thing if someone managed to get in it
nah, that position was always trash and never worked, ever. im glad its gone. once you get in there its a certain death in most cases, as u cant peek properly without getting f-d in the roof of the tank or the side hull, no matter how u peek it
They should fix fishers bay … its such a stale crap
And that as they say was just the beginning…
No interests in this tag nut.
tag nut
Particles of excrement that become entangled with anal hair and dry in this position.
Missed opportunity to balance the southern tip of Fjords, west spawn always has the advantage in that position if they have any semi-decent hulldown tanks.
Do WG really work ? Every update no real balance, 10 updates which could be in only one…. wake up wg stop taking people for idiots
