WoT: July Fair Play Update

EU:

Today, we’ve taken another step in this direction and placed a massive ban wave across all servers. In this wave, we’ve penalized 2,241 accounts in the EU region. 1,577 of these accounts have received their first warning, and 664 have been banned permanently.

RU:

Today we are once again carrying out a large-scale blocking of the accounts of violators in Random and Ranked Battles. As part of this campaign, 27,904 accounts have been blocked in the RU region. 21 634 of them received the first warning, 6270 are blocked forever.

ASIA:

  • 166 accounts permanently banned for botting (view the full list of accounts banned for botting here)
  • 243 accounts penalized for using illegal mods or engaging in misconduct; of these, 61 accounts have been permanently banned

NA:

Today, we’ve taken another step in this direction and placed a ban wave across all servers. In this wave for the Americas from April 13 to July 13, we penalized 253 accounts: 170 of these received their first warning, and 83 were banned permanently. All players who were banned during this ban wave will be removed from the Ranked Battles leaderboard.

  1. I do not understand the point of these updates. Given the lack of transparency WG is known for, they could say they’ve permanently banned fifty thousand players for cheating, and no one would be able to verify it anyway unless it’s known streamers or players from top clans (in the latter case, the clan could cover it up to not lose face).

    Also, as I said in the EU forum, WG still does absolutely nothing to counter account sharing and boosting, and AFAIK account sharing is a permaban-worthy violation according to TOS/EULA.
