WoWS: Changes in availability of several ships

Remind that in Update 0.10.5 several ships will no longer be available to obtain.

Starting from Update 0.10.5, the following ships will no longer be available to obtain:

  • VI Erich Loewenhardt
  • VI Admiral Graf Spee
  • VI T-61
  • VII Z-39
  • VII Nelson
  • VII Haida
  • VIII Asashio
  • VIII Lenin

The reason to remove these ships is the combination of their popularity and battle performance. In order to maintain the diversity of team compositions at a proper level, they will be removed for an undefined time, but may return in future.

We understand that accumulating resources for ships is a long process, which is why we wanted to warn you in advance, so that those interested can steer these ships into their Ports before Update 0.10.5 goes live in approximately two months.

    WoWs player here, this has become official WG spiel to explain the ships are being removed because they are too good, popularity very rarely comes into play and even then it’s not like the owners lose the removed ships from their accounts…

    1. I actually kind of like that some ships are removed from sale as long as new decent ships continue to be introduced. It does encourage variety in games and keeps the meta from getting too stagnant, I also appreciate that it adds an element of distinction to owning something not everybody has. I can understand concerns that it’s causing some people to want to buy ships before they disappear that they otherwise might not. I bought the Georgia that way and it’s a good ships but I enjoy the Pommern I got for free by saving coal more and looking back on it if I understood what was going on a bit better I probably would have spent the money on cosmetics and/or a different lower tier ship that I want. I’d still have spent about the same amount because I enjoy the game and want to support it and the Georgia is proving useful for completing certain kinds of missions.

    1. isn’t it just because there’s no good Nazi DD prems outside of the T61? If you pull them out of the store, then those players will jump at the next opportunity to buy one
