[World of Tanks] Micropatch 0.9.18_2 (NA/EU) + 9.18 EU Downtime

There are plans to release Micropatch 0.9.18_2 on April 27th, 2017

Maintenance will begin at 03:30 Pacific Time (10:30 UTC) and will last approximately one hour.

During maintenance, the World of Tanks servers will be unavailable.

Patch notes:

The matchmaking mechanics were adjusted as follows:

  1. The top tier of three-tier battles will comprise the same number of tank destroyers, SPGs, and light tanks (of both Platoon and solo players) in both teams. For each of these vehicle types, the number of vehicles will be the same in both teams (i.e. they will be treated separately). In addition, the top tier will comprise the same aggregate number of medium and heavy tanks in both teams, but these vehicle types will not be treated separately.
  2. The top tier of three-tier battles can have only one SPG.

When maintenance has completed please restart World of Tanks using the launcher file (WOTLauncher.exe) and ensure your game client updates properly.

If automatic updating has been enabled in the launcher settings, make sure that the client has finished updating.

On Patch 9.18 EU release:

We are happy to announce the release of the 9.18 patch for World of Tanks.

The World of Tanks servers will be unavailable on the 27.04.2017 from 01:00 CEST to 06:30 CEST due to this update.

Please also keep in mind, that due to the actualization:

  • Global map will be frozen from 02:00 CEST 27.04.2017 to 02:00 CEST 28.04.2017
  • Clan Portal (eu.wargaming.net/clans) will be unavailable from 01:00 CEST 27.04.2017 till 06:30 CEST 27.04.2017

  1. SO In other words, The Micro Patch adjust MM to take into account even distribution of all 5 tank classes now, instead of the 3 (TD/LT/SPG) that it does currently? Is that what I am reading?

    1. No this means that there has to be the same amount of top tier LTs, TDs, SPGs and MT/HTs. MT and HT are still treated as the same thing for god knows what reason.

I don’t want to looks like I got a foil hat on my head, but I do think WG in the last few patch went a lot toward to please a selective group of player, namely brainless pushers in certain heavys, super heavys and heavy-analogs that no-brainers love to think they should be invincible for just siting in the wild open (eg. KRV, Maus, T95 etc.). In that sense, I don’t know why don’t they do anything like that to IS-7/IS-4 and tortoise tho.

        1. They have been pleasing HT drivers for the past 3 years, which has culminated recently in the absolutely retarded Maus and Type 5 buffs. And made other classes except T9/10 MTs irrelevant because let’s herd all those HT sheep into corridors so they only have to worry what’s directly in front of them.

      1. Your selective quotation skips the most important part of that quote. “But these vehicle types will not be treated separately.” So the the number of mediums+heavies will be the same on each team. 4+3=2+5 kind of thing.

        The added note is totally a pointless note.

        If theres the same number of TD’S, Lights, and Arty on each team then by default each team HAS to have the same number of meds+heavies. The only way it wouldn’t be possible would be if there’s a different number of Tanks on each team.

      Well that’s pretty retarded, since 13 90 got a big buff, RU is probably on the same level (DPM/topspeed nerf, but gun handling/pen/shell velocity/PtoW/HP/VR buffs. Hell even RU might be a bit better). Also the MM changed, and while tiers they meet are the same, they will no longer be one of the few/single T9’s like it was before.
      It’s pretty much just T10’s that are the issue, and some popular tanks like bulldog/ELC. Rest of them is OK.

  2. Played this evening before the big changes hit the servers.. And regretted it.
    Gameplay quality was comparable to X5 weekends, even coming from supposed decent players.

  3. Well at least they do tweak it a little bit.

    I wouldnt mind having micropatches every week during the whole 9.18-9.19 duration so they can adjust the new MM as needed. Thats better than having to wait entire patches for fixes.

    Now can people start complaining about personnal missions that have not been adjusted for everything other than arty ? They adjusted rare medals for the new MM but the missions that had the exact samr requirements as medals and are now near impossible are still untouched. NA got the patch now, it’s starting to become worrying if they havent said a word about that.

    1. Well “rig” battles then. If WG screws uo their game to the point where you need to exploit matchmaker mechanics to play with your friends, the least we can do is actualy do it until they understand people want to play in platoons. Then either they’ll add it back or people can keep trying to get in the same battles by other means.

      Forbidding multiple arties in a platoon was smart. Disabling platoons for arty entirely was retarded.

  6. Welp, looks like they did not iron out all bugs: when I try to join a battle ina limited MM tank, the client tells me that there is a “junction”… and then nothing. It keeps displaying the rolling wheel with “junction” on it, indefinitely.

    Don’t tell me this did not happen on NA.
