  1. What’s the point of this vehicle? Basicaly a downgraded stock JT from tier 9. At least give it the Porsche suspension to differ a little bit from the existing tanks.

    1. it is a stock jagdtiger, but see it like this way, its or a stock jagdtiger, with pref. mm put a tier down, or its like an uparmoured ferdinant ,wich has decnt armour but not so much against tier 8+ gold rounds, with around the same mobility.

      1. Nope its just H for Henschel or P for Porsche. They had different suspensions.

“One hundred and fifty Jagdtigers were initially ordered[4] but only between 70[5] and 88 were produced at the Nibelungenwerk at St. Valentin, from July 1944 to May 1945. Eleven of them, serial numbers 305001 and 305003 to 305012, were produced with the Porsche suspension (eight road wheels); all following used the Henschel suspension with nine road wheels.”

          1. I believe some tanks were ordered/developed in competition with a predetermined turret so they basically developed the hull only…

“Henschel won the design contract, and all Tiger IIs were produced by the firm.[16] Two turret designs were used in production vehicles. The initial design is often misleadingly called the “Porsche” turret due to the belief that it was designed by Porsche for their prototype; in fact it was the initial Krupp design for both prototypes. This turret had a rounded front and steeply sloped sides, with a difficult-to-manufacture curved bulge on the turret’s left side to accommodate the commander’s cupola. Fifty early turrets were mounted to Henschel’s hull and used in action. The more common “production” turret, sometimes called the “Henschel” turret, was simplified with a significantly thicker flat face, no shot trap (created by the curved face of the earlier turret), and less-steeply sloped sides, which prevented the need for a bulge for the commander’s cupola, and added additional room for ammunition storage.”

      2. Henschel and Porsche were competing for a lot of tank designs at the time. Hence some tanks having a (H) for Henschel or (P) for Porsche version. Look at the german tank tree, you will notice quite a few (H) or (P) tanks, most noticeably the Tiger and Tiger (P) or the VK 30.01 P vs the VK36.01 (H).

    1. I’m pretty sure that after the huge success of the Berlin tanks, they are currently working on a new trio/quartet of historical tanks, labelled H…(?) instead of Berlin.
This one and the Tiger II H currently supertested should be the two first, we might expect one or two others. (with maybe a premium american? or a Tier 4 T-34/76,…)

  2. So it’s a big middle finger to the Ferdi… which is very odd since the Ferdi is actually really good right now. This thing might actually be extremely good in the current corridor meta.

    1. Corridor meta is also gold-spam meta. It will suck even if toptier on himelsdorf banana corner if any ennemy has gold loaded. And it will be OP against anyone who doesnt.

      1. In the right position this thing can be hard to deal with even with gold; keep in mind that this is a tier 8 vehicle. In a tier 10 game yeah its gonna get fucked, but at tier 8 there’s a lot of things that can’t reliably pen its superstructure even with gold.

  3. So after painting regular premium tanks black and selling them as new, now comes the “let’s sell the historical mass producted tanks with their right setup and downtier them.” (think the prievously leaked T7 Tiger II)
They really ran out of ideas.

Effort to make: 5 minute while copying and renaming the files
    Profit: millions of euro

  4. Okay, calm down everyone, I really don’t think this is going to be an actual premium tank, like how the VK 100.01 (P) has been a premium in the game files for something like a year despite becoming a standard tier 8 vehicle very soon. Same thing happened with BC 25t AP, Grille 15, etc., so that may very well be the case here. What their purpose is, I don’t know, but perhaps they’re attempting to rebalance the German tree some more (JT armor isn’t exactly great at tier 9, same with the Tiger II at tier 8).

    1. And what else do you want it to be ?
German TDs already have 3 regular tier 8s. They all have the same gun and differ in playstyle. This thing can only be a premium, the only way it could become regular is if it was yet another line-link to join TigerII and JagdTiger ; or if they moved Ferdi to tier 7 with its historical gun (and that wont happen because of how good the tank is already at its tier, let alone against tier 5 even with a 8.8cm gun ; but it could happen tho to let JPs together and start the armored line sooner)

      1. I was thinking the latter one of those options would be most likely – Ferdinand at tier 7 with the stock engine and 88mm would be good, but not overly-strong – don’t forget its awful stock mobility and 80mm weakspots. Jagdtiger would replace it at tier 8, so the armor of both vehicles would at least be somewhat more useful than they are now.

  5. Lets clone more HD vehicles already but put them a tier lower. WG should start a dairy farm on Mars with if Serb has collected enough hard cash to kick start his space program.

  6. So thats a stock JT a tier lower.

Ferdi is a good tank already, this thing is the same but with better frontal armor. Ferdi had weakpoints, while this thing will only fear gold when hulldown (or hightier guns).

I dont see any downsides to it. I loved the JT at tier 9, I’ll get this thing without a doubt.

  7. I think this is just the historical Jagdtiger at tier 8. Which is a decent combo imo.
It will still suck in tier 10 matches, but in tier 8 it will be pretty stronk (if you find a place to hide your whole hull.

  8. Well, If they are adding these “historical” tanks. Why don’t they add the historical Panther (variants), I would buy that without thinking. Nor the Vk 30.02M (prototype) and tier 7 Panther (Schmalturm proposed variant / ultimate evolution) are Panthers that saw combat.

  9. and there’s the new TD for German T8 strongholds and clan wars.. maybe this will make up for the loss of the RU at T8 and VK28 aat T6.. but not likely. ( clan plays only German.)
