Supertest: Strv m/42-57 Alt A.2

On the Supertest, a new tank has arrived – the Strv m/42-57 Alt A.2 – a Swedish premium tier 6 medium tank.

During work on the Strv 74 tank, a project with a oscillating turret from the Amx 13 and a 7,5cm kan Strv 74 was proposed, but not implemented.

      1. *poor

If you dont allow low quality – you cant do anything related to ELC AMX 😀

      2. Mhh…
At least now I\’m kinda into a Swedish tanks fanmode, so maybe, if time shows itself, some drawings/3D models might come out… 😛

      3. This post is way better than my previous one, but for the record that \’crash post\’ about The First Swedish Tank for W.o.T. post did hit The Armored Patrol 15 minutes after the initial Russian leak and well T.A.P. got it first before you know who. I do agree that T.A.P. demands quality articles for the community at large and my now deleted [salt mines] article was a pretty rush job and I was afraid that \’the other blog\’ would get it first (It really did suck for one it was rushed and two I wrote it at \’god knows when in the morning\’ right before I went to bed X-P). I was more concerned about getting the news here first and breaking the news first than post\’s general quality I have to admit :-S. Well if this is the end result I would call this a win for T.A.P. in getting some pretty \’hot\’ news first to the English community. You did a great job Sebastian with this article and keep up the good work!

  1. Eh. Too slow for SH\’s, and gun needs DPM buffs. With those stats it has lowest DPM of any T6 MT\’s .

      1. Eh on those two aswell.

Skoda T25 can reload in half the time, unload in 2,66s (compared to 4s in this, which means you take 2 shots from Cromwell etc.), although it has 120hp less DMG in clip. But again, it reloads twice as fast. And is faster. And has better gun stats. And 10 degrees of gun depression. And more HP. Only loses at penetration.

That is one really nice thing about this. 148mm standard ammo, 207 prem, that is APCR not HEAT like Skoda T40.

  2. \”oscillating turret was proposed…but not implemented\”… so of course WG has to implement it and make the tank totally unhistoric.

    1. Well, yea because I imagine the M/72 will be in the tech tree, this is a common occurrence with most premiums, they are often test beds of canceled designs.
