NA: Policy on Prohibited Modifications

Nothing against aim mods, it seems :p

Fellow Tankers,
As you may be aware, we at Wargaming America are beginning to tighten our restrictions on all mods that provide a player with a distinct advantage over their opponents when used in matches, both public and competitive.
Players found to be using illegal mods will be penalized based on how severe the mod is in violation with our policies.
A guideline for the types of modifications as well as visual examples of these prohibited mods can be reviewed below:

  • 3D-Skins with Display of Modules and Crew Positions

Visual example:

  • Removal of trees, leaves and bushes or change transparency

Visual example:

  • Modified Tracer Display (case-by-case basis)

Visual example:

  • Script automated use of manually activated equipment. I.E. Automatic use of Manual Fire Extinguisher
  • Reticle with Lens
  • Free camera

Visual example:

  • Laser Reticle (red line starting from the gun barrel)

Visual example:

  • Mini Map modifications that passively provide information to the individual player without the use of active team work

Visual example:

Modifications to the World of Tanks client (and other products) that provide an unfair advantage against other players will warrant a restriction upon the players account. These restrictions will be based upon the level of severity of the infraction of our banned mods policy and is at Wargaming’s discretion.
