9.14 Public Test Patchnotes

I really wanted to change the title to „Pubic test” ;_;

Game Features

Physics 2.0

  • Introduced a new server model for vehicle movement and collisions of vehicles with various surfaces, objects, and other vehicles
  • Added new types of maneuvers and modifications to vehicle control and behavior
  • Added new visual effects for vehicle movement and traverse (skidding, sliding)
  • Reworked the behavior of vehicles when ramming or colliding with other vehicles
  • Implemented the mechanics for turning vehicles over

Sound 2.0

  • Replaced the current FMOD sound engine with Audiokinetic Wwise, which processes sounds on a separate core, improving performance of multi-core hardware systems on practically all configurations
  • Reworked sounds of the basic subsystems:
    • Gunshots, both inside and outside vehicle turrets. However, the current system of calibers has been kept
    • Loading gun sounds: The sound corresponds to a particular caliber as well as depends on type of loading system: manual or automatic (magazine loading systems)
    • Shell penetration sound: Now, players can not only identify the caliber of the penetrating shell (or penetration type), but also identify how much damage such penetrations caused to their vehicles
    • Sounds of tracers and vehicle destruction
    • Fully reworked sounds of vehicle engines, tracks, transmissions and the sounds of interaction with various types of surfaces
  • Reworked and re-implemented the special sound upon causing a critical hit. It presents a sound notification about causing the critical damage to enemy vehicles
  • Newly implemented:
    • Sound for the Sixth Sense “bulb”
    • Sound notifications for damaged modules (observation device, turret, fuel tanks, radio, ammo rack)
    • Sounds for basic consumables (First Aid Kit, Repair Kit, Fire Extinguisher)
    • Sound presets for playing with different sound systems and at different time of day
