British destroyer Jupiter ’42, Tier VII

HMS Jupiter is one of eight J-class destroyers—the best ships of their type in the Royal Navy before the war. Commencing her service shortly before the outbreak of World War II, the ship would serve in both the Home Fleet and Mediterranean Fleet. From December 1941 onward, Jupiter played a role in Allied operations in Southeast Asia; however, on February 27, 1942, the destroyer was lost to a mine explosion during the Battle of the Java Sea.

Attention all Shipwrights! A new Dockyard is coming to World of Warships in Update 12.11.

Sestri Ponente Dockyard

Update 12.11 brings us to Sestri Ponente in the Italian Riviera for the construction of IX Michelangelo at the Dockyard. The Sestri Ponente Dockyard will contain 32 phases, 27 of which may be completed through missions. At least 5 phases will need to be purchased with Doubloons to finish the construction of Michelangelo and add her to your port. Starter Packs of 5 and 10 phases will be available to buy for 6,000 and 10,000 Doubloons respectively. You can also buy individual phases for 1,750 doubloons each.

WoWS: SALVAGE FOR VICTORY – CLOSED TEST 12.11

Read on to learn about the Salvage for Victory event in Update 12.11 and its rewards that include new ships Elli, Francesco Ferruccio and Defence, as well as the legendary Kitakami!

After many moons, X Kitakami will finally make her return! We’ve faced some rough waters on the way to seeing this unique ship on the high seas, which led to us choosing a unique distribution method for her. We’ll use the mechanic of the Salvage for Victory event that we tested in Update 12.9 as a way to obtain the VIII Champagne. We designed this event around the theme of cruisers to provide players with the opportunity to unlock new exclusive ships consecutively for Coal, Steel, and Research Points. There will be no limits on the usage of any of these resources. Additionally, you will be able to use some of your World of Warships Premium Time to complete up to 16 stages of this event at any point.
