Apart from that, immediately after adding the DLC to your account, you will get a bunch of resources that you can use in the Holiday Ops 2023 event to improve Festive Atmosphere Levels and complete Guests’ Assignments.

WoWS: Changes to Test Ships – 0.11.11 Closed Testing

Based on testing results, we’re applying changes to S-1, L-20, K-1, Nebraska, Delaware, Sun Yat-Sen, Leipzig, Brisbane, and Z-42.

Soviet submarine S-1, Tier VI

  • Researchable acoustic homing torpedoes:
    • Distance at which torpedoes stop homing on pinged enemy submarines reduced: 220 to 200 m.
  • Researchable torpedoes:
    • Speed increased: 62 to 65 knots;
    • Maximum damage increased: 8,367 to 9,233.

WoWS: Update to the Operations Battle Type in 0.11.8 – Results and Future Plans

We’re here to share the results of the Operations overhaul that occurred in Update 0.11.8 and talk about the future of this battle type.

Operations in World of Warships – What Changed

Since the Operations battle type first appeared in World of Warships, its popularity has been on the low side, accounting for only 3-5% of the time spent in battle by active players. The only exception would be temporary Halloween Operations, which see higher participation.

Regardless, we’ve often received community feedback requesting for Operations to get more attention from the developers, so in Update 0.11.8, we released a sizeable revamp of this battle type:

  • You can now take part in all Operations aboard Tier VI-VIII ships, and the “Operation of the Week” was removed.

The holidays are just around the corner, which means it’s time for Holiday Ops in World of Tanks. It’s the most anticipated event, featuring tons of rewards and wonderful surprises!

Instead of your classic Garage, we’ve prepared for you a festive Village filled with joy and a magical atmosphere. Here, you will instantly find a pleasant gift from us: the brand-new M16/43 Sahariano, a Tier III Premium Italian medium tank. It’s a fast and maneuverable medium for fun and dynamic gameplay. This is also where you’ll meet our guest stars, Arnie and Milla! They will host the event and provide you with special quests and combat missions and make Holiday Ops even more exciting! Join us, and let’s celebrate together!

Event Summary

  • Holiday Ops 2023 kicks off on December 1, 2022, at 07:00 CET and runs until January 9, 2023, at 07:00 CET (UTC+1).
  • The day the event starts, your Garage will turn into a festive Village with new landmarks: Headquarters with two guest stars, three Decorative Objects, zones to collect Holiday Ops resources, etc.
  • Holiday Ops 2023 features a special event currency called Resources. There are four types of resources in the event: Rock Crystal, Pure Emerald, Warm Amber, and Meteoric Iron. All your festive activities will be based on collecting and investing these resources. You can get Holiday Ops resources in the following ways:
    1. Collect them manually in your own Village up to twice a day
    2. As rewards for completing Daily Missions
    3. In your Best Friends’ Villages once a day
    4. When petting your dog friend Chaffee
    5. As a bonus from Large Boxes
  • There are 10 levels of Festive Atmosphere, marking your progress in the event and providing you with rewards. To improve the Festive Atmosphere, upgrade decorative objects from Level 1 to 5 by collecting and investing Rock Crystal and Pure Emerald.
